Azur Retreat

Amazing setting we stayed in room 502. At the top . Lots of steps but the most private with stunning view and the base wow room with whirlpool. The food is some of the best we have ever had. Alacarte breakfast and Michelin style presented. Evening meals. 7 minute walk to vathy village with a few bars and resturant. Infinity pool with double sun beds with subtle chilli out music creates the best atmosphere . Staff attentive though a couple of the waiting staff are very new and did not speak good English however tried very hard. We will be back

Have just experienced 2 perfect weeks at the Azur Retreat. This wonderful immaculate , boutique hotel has an amazing, quiet location overlooking Vathy Bay, with yachts gkiding by, and is a very short walk from plenty of excellent, authentic tavernas serving fresh seafood and traditional Greek dishes. We chose not to have a car, and that wasn't a problem at all. There are 2 beaches nearby and Phaedra, (the friendliest receptionist ever!) organised a private boat excursion for us, so we spent 4 hours one day, going around the island, stopping at caves and beaches only accessible by boat. All the staff, including housekeeping and the waiting staff were fantastic and made our stay 100% perfect. They are a super team. If you are looking for unspoilt Greece combined with a bit of luxury..... here it is!

We have just ended an 8-night stay at the wonderful Azur Retreat. It has a spectacular setting at the entrance of Vathi in Meganisi overlooking the sea. Each designer room is special and has its own private pool. All the staff, without exception, led by Maria and Phaedra, embodied the best of Greek hospitality. We will definitely return.

We are currently staying at this wonderful luxurious 5 star 18 room boutique hotel located in Vatis in Meganisi. The staff is over the top helpful friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast is delicious and very appetizing. We have utilized the spa services which were also excellent and very pampering. The rooms are spacious clean modern and very well maintained and appointed. The air conditioning works flawlessly. We love the separate shower and commode areas. The cleaning staff is very attentive and the evening turn over of the rooms is a added bonus as it is in all 5 star hotels. The outside decks and private pools are such a beautiful addition to this wonderful hotel. All of the areas of the hotel are beyond clean and pristine. The Hotel is located in an excellent location minutes away from the best restaurants and beaches on Meganisi with a incredible beautiful view. I cannot stress enough how accommodating the staff is. I had an issue with my legs and climbing the stairs to the 4th floor became a problem for me. Although i always prefer a high floor because of the view the staff immediately changed my room to a 2nd floor room with a even bigger room with a bigger pool deck area with the same beautiful view. The bell man carried all of our items into the new room in minutes. Going above an beyond is the best way i can describe this staff. If your coming to Meganisi and you are like us and prefer a 5 star resort this is the only place to be. Enjoy your travels!

We loved our time at Azur retreat. The beds were so comfy and we loved spending our days watching the comings and goings around the bay from our private pool. A ten minute stroll into Vathy where there is a good range of tavernas, restaurants and a couple of bars for a pre or post dinner drink. The breakfast every day was generous portions and enough of a variety for our five night stay. Super peaceful location and the shared pool area was a nice spot too for some sunshine later in the day. Would highly recommend and would love to return!

Just leaving after 3 glorious days here. Magnificent . The staff, headed by Maria excellent and very attentive. We stayed in room 103 which is one of the best rooms at level one with a large private pool….the main pool is only 10 metres away! Beautiful designed and appointed and LARGE. We did have an issue with hot water, however that was sorted quickly. Breakfast was included and whilst not a huge selection, the al la carte menu was good. Our room was serviced twice daily. And spotless. POD coffee and a small nonalcoholic range of drinks which are complimentary I enjoyed a relaxing massage one day…excellent. A small word of advice….there are steps…lots of them! Level 1 and 2 are ok, however anything above that has plenty of steps so be aware if you have step issues. The friendly porters carry the luggage! The views are spectacular. Watching the boats of all different sizes coming and going is surprisingly relaxing. Nearly forgot to mention the bed and pillows……to die for! Wonderful. Just divine!
