Blue Aegean Hotel & Suites

Stopped in one of the apartments just over the road from the hotel, not an issue for getting into and out of the hotel as the road is small/not busy, however the free wifi does not reach these apartments. The hotel is based about 100m from a small beach with a much larger beach about 200m further and an enormous beach about 10-15 mins walk. Room very clean and spacious, shower is excellent. Food is plentiful and good choice at each sitting, however the food is not kept very warm (except dishes under the heat lamps), so it's better to eat early. Pool is clean with plenty of sunbeds, although getting sunbeds which stay in the sun as it moves over the complex can be a challenge. Staff were all friendly and drinks selection was good. Overall a good stay.

First of all the staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. It’s a nice little old skool hotel in a great location, 2 mins walk to the beach, shops and a few local restaurants. Rooms were kept tidy, pool area ect too! The food wasn’t fantastic but not the worst either, we ate out quite a few nights as it was quite repetitive. It would have been even better if there were some sort of entertainment for the children during the day as mine aged 7, 11 & 14 were quite bored if we were at the pool all day! The entertainment was every other night whilst we were there and that also could have been a little better. I thank the lord for the air con!! Couldn’t have lived without that!! Beds are comfy, family room a little on the small side with older kids. We had a lovely 2 week family holiday though, weather was absolutely beautiful, best sunsets from the beach and absolutely love the area!

A wonderful hotel! It is very clean and the staff is amazing. We spend a week with all-inclusive and the food was fabolous with a great variation of tasty, well-prepared dishes with local ingredients and recipes. We highly recommend to choose all-inclusive here. The hotel is relaxed, quiet at night and the entertainment was amazing. All in all our family of 7 from the age of 12-50 had the best holiday. We will come back.

We arrived at the Blue Aegean hotel and was greeted with a warm welcome and smile checking in was made simple, we was shown to our room and was clean and fresh,we dropped our cases and headed for the bar we noticed that they don’t do half measures so we stayed for a while if you know what I mean, the restaurant was clean, plenty of choice of different foods,chief was always there making sure everything was presented well, the tables were cleaned straight away,the staff worked very hard and were polite.the bar area was were you chilled out and meet other guest,the bar staff were brilliant,there is plenty of sun beds around the pool area. The beach was a hundred yards from the hotel just down the road there is a couple of supper markets and restaurants and bars etc on the main road we visited the Island restaurant on the beach for a meal to celebrate my birthday and watched the sunset.when going out for a evening walk we stumbled on a little gem of a place called The CENTRAL BAR fantastic atmosphere live entertainment and cheep beer a lovely garden area the manager made you feel welcome danced in the road lol.we visited the bar twice, Overall we had a fantastic holiday and look forward to returning to the blue Aegean hotel in 2024

What a fabulous weeks holiday we had here, the food was really nice and plenty of choice, good for kids the pizzas was really yummy, lovely friendly staff and we met some lovely families my daughter made loads of friends and didn’t want to come home! Always plenty of sunbeds at any time of the day which was nice as i hate the sunbed battle on holiday, really lovely relaxing resort Gouves is and we will definitely return.

Our experience at Blue Aegean was really great. The highlight was the AMAZING food. All meals are freshly prepared with a range of Greek and other dishes. I like to try local cuisine, which I could every day. The kids were happy with freshly made pizza in their pizza oven. Other great things was the atmosphere, cleanliness, pool and children's play areas. The staff are also ultra friendly and helpful. There is nothing they wouldn't do to make your stay fantastic. Location was also grest being a 2 minute walk ftom the beach a the beauitiful sea. Only slight low light was the size of the room and selection of English TV channels but because the weather was so great we weren't in there very much so it was fine. Thanks for a fabulous holiday!

We returned yesterday and had such a fantastic time, we can't wait to go back. Really friendly welcome at reception on arrival and showed to our very comfy room. The pool area is lovely, very clean and spacious. We were so impressed with the food, the evening meals exceeded expectations with tasty pork, chicken, beef and lamb dishes. My daughter loved the fresh pizza and kebabs. The breakfast is the best we have had at an all inclusive. Wine, beer and local spirits were all nice. There was a happy hour for cocktails if you wanted a treat. The staff were fantastic, in particular the head chef who was happy to talk to you about all the dishes, and the barman in the evening who made mocktails for the kids and created a really nice atmosphere.

We loved it at the Blue Aegean Hotel. Staff were friendly and hard working, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great holiday. Our room was spacious and everything worked well. It was useful having a fridge and the air con was efficient. The beds were really comfy... a novelty as we usually find the beds on holiday very uncomfortable. The pool area is great and there were always plenty of sunbeds. The food was fantastic. For a smallish hotel, the choice and standard were exceptional. We are a meat eater and a vegetarian and we both ate really well. We intended to eat out a couple of nights but the food was so good we didn't bother. The AI beer and white wine were fine but the red wasn't so we ended up buying better red wine. Gouves is a long development and the hotel is towards the end of it. It is only a few minutes walk to two sandy beaches. Both have sunbeds and the nearest has a lovely bar practically on the beach. It's not a resort for people who like nightlife but there are some good bars (including a sports bar), restaurants and a couple of useful supermarkets nearby. We used the nearby car hire place (think it was called John and Mary) to hire a car for a day and they were very good. We visited some traditional Cretan villages and went to Plaka to get the boat the Spinalonga. Boat takes about 10 minutes and was 12 Euros return. Well worth doing. We don't usually go to the same place twice but would definitely consider a return visit to this hotel.
