Sun Palm

- Upon arrival we have been surprised that our booking is not showing on the hotel system. We waited for almost three hours with the reception staff to give us a double room but for just one night as they said. Of course I and my wife were very angry and tired after a long trip from Tunis - Inside the room there was no drinking water, no kettle and of course no coffee, sugar and tea. It was strange for a 5 star hotel! - No tissue in room in spite of the existence of the tissue holder. - The bath in the bathroom was very old and rusted!! - Furniture items are old and used. - Central AC is cancelled in the room, and is replaced by an indoor split unit. It was really a shame for a 5 star hotel ans we were disappointed.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Sahara desert. Very Tunisian and friendly hotel. The design of the hotel is very authentic, staff is wonderful. The rooms are also a very authentic style. Loved it. The pool outside is very nice and the water is very refreshing. We took the local camel ride with camels Yamil and Nazar and it was so wonderful.

The reception and hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming! Beautiful hotel!! Receptionist Zayneb was very lovely. Highly recommend.

Amazing hospitality and very friendly staff. Like home away from home The food was phenomenol and showers at the end of a tiring day hot and soothing. I'd highly recommend this little piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere. Looking forward to my next trip here

This is a traditional Tunisian hotel and we stayed as part of a 2 day Saharan trip with Tui. The reception immediately gave us interconnecting rooms without asking and the dinner was delicious. Shame we couldn’t stay longer. The camel activity from the hotel was fantastic.

Stay overnight with a group on 2 day Sahara excursion. Nice, clean hotel with good food and staff. Pool was nice to relax after day spent in Sahara desert. So sorry that we didn't have more time to explore the neighborhood.

Stayed at the hotel for a single night as part of a tour from coastal Tunisia to the Sahara. Checked-in at 7pm and then checked-out at just before 5am - so this review is only based on a few hours! The pool area was fantastic after a long day in the sand and sun, however, if the hotel was busy during the day then I can see it would be quite crowded. Food was okay. Our tour group were only allowed to eat from 8.30pm after the hotel's other guests. This was fine in itself, but it didn't seem new food was being churned out at the same pace so there was often many empty serving dishes. The rooms are very dated, but clean and fine for the one night we stayed. Shower in the room never stayed a constant temperature but cycled from hot to cold to boiling to freezing. I'm sure a longer stay would bring out more positives, but overall this was ok for a night.

We stayed one night here as part of a tui coach trip to the desert. Quick check-in ,nice room with heating. The room had all the usual features and a wake-up call The hotel bar used uk cash or dinar We had a buffet meal and morning breakfast. Staff were on hand to help. The hotel was a nice place from what we saw and lots of other facilities we did not have time for

We stayed here while we were on a 2 day Sahara trip-for a night it was ok-right at the edge of the desert before we went on our camel rides-for a night beds were comfy enough and air con in the room worked well Food selection for dinner was fairly ok-a nice selection of salads and some hot dishes-the deep fried aubergine was very nice The breakfast selection next morning wasn’t as good-lots of salad and cold meat but not much hot selection-some hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and some sort of fish curry The local bread though dipped in honey was nice and had croissants and pain au chocolat Opened very early if your doing the sun rise option as had to leave at 4 in the morning Bar staff very friendly and quick to make up a decent gin and tonic-definitely nice enough for the night though for longer not sure as mini fridge didn’t work in the room which I think is deliberate so you have to purchase cold bottles of water lol
