Radisson Hotel Amp; Convention Centre Johannesburg

The hotel location is perfect the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and super clean. I enjoyed their breakfast. Sorry I didn’t take pictures though.

Used as an over night stop before flight back to London. First suite stank of sewerage, badly scrapped walls, blocked drains and the TV didn't work so i requested to be moved. Apparently upgraded to diplomatic suite but then I did not have a balcony? Huge room suitable for meetings etc but the air con was absolutely terrible and we were boiling hot all night, there was also a tear in the sheets... Guests at 8am the next morning outside were unbelievably noisy and woke us up. Food outside on terrace was excellent served by Lindo who was outstanding but the whole area is REALLY grubby, Cushioned seats need a good scrub and the the marked tables need replacing. It was evident that either friends of employees or employees themselves monopolized the pool whilst playing loud music therefore no space for actual guests. Evening meal was ok but breakfast was excellent, good choice and fresh ingredients. Executive lounge was very well stocked but the people on the door were on their phones on loudspeaker chatting to their friends and just going about their business, so unprofessional!! Spa was fabulous and I have given 1 star for the spa and the food but that's it! I think if someone from head management ever visited this hotel they would be rather shocked!!!

A nice stay to start a tour of South Africa. The place is about 15 minutes off the airport. There’s also a sort of shopping complex across the street from it. The staff were very helpful and very eager to give advice in regards to place to visit snd safety. We’ve enjoyed our time here.

This hotel is within a 10-minute drive from JNB airport. I didn't manage to use a hotel shuttle from the airport because it didn't show up as informed (30 minutes past each hour). The hotel itself is very decent. Rooms are clean and well maintained. There's a hotel restaurant on the ground floor as well as a bar. The common space is cold (at least was in my case) so bring your long sleeve. On the 5th floor there is a club lounge. On the 6th floor you will find a roof top bar and another fine dining restaurant. Apparently they don't belong to the hotel. But it gives you more dining options. I will consider Radisson again while connecting through JNB in the future. It offers very good value for money.

Stayed 1 night when connecting through Joburg. I stayed at Southern Sun in the past so I will compare against it. It is further away... 15 min vs 5min Waited for 65m for a pre-booked transfer, this was very frustrating, especially when the kids are tired. SS transfer is every 5m. Rooms: slighly better/newer I will never choose Radison when connecting through Joburg. Southern Sun is a much better and convinient option.

I booked a private airport pickup that was confirmed by email. when I arrived the driver was not waiting for me as announced. I called the hotel several times to ask about the driver and they kept telling me that he is on the way. after 30 minutes of wait I decided to take a taxi to go to the hotel. I spent the whole day traveling to arrive From Paris and was awake since 4 am, I was tired and needed to go to rest knowing that I have to take another plane early in the morning. I complained to the night Manager who apologized but did not offer any compensation especially that it was not the first time I had this issue with this hotel during my last stay I had to wait more the an hour and a half for the driver to come even if I called the hotel several time. I missed an important conf call because of that. I wanted to stay at the hotel just to have my meeting and rest a little bit before my night flight (I did not spent the night). The night Manager took my email and the hotel was supposed to contact me regarding this issue but nobody did. I am really disappointed about the service offered by this hotel especially knowing that I always stay at Radisson when I am in South Africa. and I am not sure that I will stay there anymore.

Rating a ten out of ten as I felt like I was in a secluded place. Although I was sceptical on the way from the airport and was wondering where I’m the world are we being taken to on the rural road as we were picked up by the Radisson transport.

This is one of the worst places I have ever been to. It started with check in, this took almost 25 minutes. It’s all very new. I thought they maybe opened this or last week. In which case I could understand. However they are open for OVER 6 months!! I booked an upgrade, this was confirmed by email. When I arrived there was no upgrade available. I mentioned this was a bit strange, since an upgrade was offered by Radisson, I accepted it and booked it and it was comfirmed by Radisson. Eventually they found an ‘upgrade’, it wasn’t in the system, cause it didn’t have a fridge (yet). It would be delivered by maintenance. It never came. The restaurant on the top floor is not part of the hotel. Nobody tells you this. You can’t charge anything to your room there. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. I went for dinner. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The meat was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The sauce had a skin so thick I could take it off with my fork. In the room the sliding door to the bathroom came off and there was no visible lever to drain water from the sink. I thought I had booked a nice and relaxing stay for my last night in Joburg, but it turned out to be hell. I paid for a late check out, but decided to leave asap. I prefer staying at the airport for 12 hours over being in this place. I can not recommend anyone to book here!!!

Awesome place with the most friendly of staff. The location is not the greatest but once inside the place one forgets about that. A very relaxed atmosphere with magical beds that are super comfortable. Pity the fridge was empty but regardless an awesome experience.
