The Mermaid and the Alligator is an awesome place to stay! We spent almost two weeks here and it felt just like home! It’s within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and fun excursions! The staff is amazing and the grounds are spectacular! We highly recommend visiting Key West and staying at this lovely B&B! We will be back!

We spent 5 nights in Key West. The hotel is in a great location and the grounds are beautiful. The open kitchen provides snacks and soft drinks, and the included breakfast was a treat. Service was wonderful. Our room and bathroom was so tiny that my husband and I could could barely manage if we were both inside. The porch and gardens were definitely a highlight.

This place is fantastic! It is a small, quiet oasis with lush gardens around the little pool and patio eating area. It is an easy walk to the shops and restaurants on Duvall Street, and the staff was super friendly! They served a good breakfast every morning. They provide towels and totes and water for the beach. Bikes were available for rent on the property. Perfect!!

beautiful historic building with unique decor, en-suite bathrooms and lovely hot breakfast served in the private gardens! staff are friendly and attentive, the “public “areas are well maintained and comfortable, definitely recommend this beautiful B&B and if my travels bring me back to key west we will surely stay here again!! also close but removed from the late night parties on Duval st- great FREE bus loop to get around too!

What a cool place! Only 9 unique rooms on a beautifully manicured / landscaped property. Seemed tucked away, but close walking to Duval St - the main drag for dining and entertainment. Wonderful staff who attentive to all your needs. As a B & B, a changing, freshly prepared breakfast each day. Plus, snacks during the day leading up to Happy Hour.

It truly felt like an escape into a rain forest. Ana the caretaker treated me and my girlfriend as if we were family. Would totally recommend to anyone. 10/10
