Bohemian style open LOFT

Welcome to The Loft, located on the third floor of the historic Abeel House. Constructed in the 1850's, the Abeel House has been thoughtfully refreshed to welcome visitors for the first time in its history. The Loft is a bohemian style open concept with a spacious living room, separate sleeping area, renovated bathroom, and full kitchen. The apartment is filled with natural light from the windows overlooking Rondout Creek. The Loft has one queen bed, one bathroom with a shower and dedicated heating and cooling. This is the third floor of a duplex home and is accessed via a private entrance on the back of the house. The entrance is accessed by a full flight of outdoor stairs. There are two additional small sets of steps along the path to the staircase. The Abeel House is located next to Rondout Creek and at the base of the Wilbur Bridge. The bridge does still see regular freight train traffic, providing a periodic reminder of Kingston's importance as a transportation hub in early America. The Loft includes many modern amenities and comforts, but as with any old home, it has its own quirks. Residence One occupies the first two floors of this duplex home and is available to rent separately and may be occupied.
