Porto Bello Beach

Had a relaxing time. Food was great, Thank you House keeping staff keep place immaculate. Thank you Mpumi & Amy for making sure we knew what activities happening where and where and the dancing after the shows was such great fun. Loved the different themed restaurants.and that at any given time there is somewhere where you can grab food if you miss meal times.

We arrived and checked in lovely , Anastasia the tui rep greeted us and took us to our rooms. The rooms were huge we had a family room with a patrician and huge bathroom. This hotel is perfect for families wanting a nice rest location isn’t the best however karmadena was a bus ride away and in all honesty we didn’t see what the fuss was about for a small town we visited once . The hotel has a huge pool and from other reviews being salt water it didn’t cause us any bother ! The portabello royal next door is absolutely beautiful for those wanting 5* it is exactly that with a 5* price tag. The hotel was spotless and I mean spotless right on the beach free ainloungers and snack bar with the best milkshakes the kids absolutely loved them the food is another level absolutely gorgeous and for us having been several locations and countries this place is a hidden gem the water park is a 3 minute walk and so much fun big water slides and free ! We loved our week and thank irena and Katerina at the bar their hospitality is outstanding. Thanks portabello for amazing stay we will be back xx

The hotel was a very welcoming hotel. Very good enter for kids and family’s. Especially Tedi puts a smile on everyone’s face and is a very energetic funny entertainer makes alll the kids happy day and night . Would 100% recommend and would definitely re-visit.

We just had an fabolous holiday at the Porto Bello Beach, the food was amazing, the staff are stunning, food was really delicious, but I have a person what I would like to mention, Tedi, he put smile on everyone’s face , he’s such an asset for the hotel, he really love what he does ! See you soon !!! The only complain I had is about the guy who work during the night in the reception, he’s was so rude with us, and we had to sleep out of the room because he didn’t want to give us a key card .

We’ve just come home from a fantastic week at the Porto Bello Beach. We travelled with our two daughters aged 5 and 8 months. The hotel is so well equipped for young children and babies. There is a bottle steriliser in the main restaurant which we used every morning. It’s in the corner behind the pastries if anyone is struggling to find it. We asked for a kettle in the room which was free of charge and the cleaners put 4 bottles of water in the fridge for you everyday. This made making bottles up really easy. The hotel itself is immaculate. The location on the beach is just stunning. The sand is lovely and sea is crystal clear. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas both on the beach and by the pool. We didn’t get sunbeds until about 9:30 every morning. There was no mad rush or getting up stupidly early for them. The main pool is saltwater, but don’t let this put you off, as you wouldn’t know at all. It is quite cold, but once you’re in, it’s fine. Aqua aerobics with Teddy was brilliant and hilarious.. he really is a character. The aqua park is brilliant and the views from up there are amazing. The pools also seemed slightly warmer, maybe because they aren’t as big. My 5 year old went to the kids club everyday. She’s never been to one before and I didn’t intend to take her, but she wanted to go. Aou (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) and Bella do an amazing job with the kids. She went on treasure hunts, made a t-shirt and came back with her face painted and hair braided. We ate at all 4 restaurants and also at the beach bar. The fact that you can eat at 5 different places really helps change things up a bit. I thought the food was fantastic in all of them, but the Greek, Italian A La Carte and the Ocean restaurant really were all wonderful. I also found the choice of drinks really good too. I’ve never known such a long list of cocktails for an all inclusive and they are made from scratch too. All of the staff we encountered were great, from the reception staff, bar and restaurant staff, the fantastic animation team, to the cleaners and luggage porters. They all work so hard. The mini disco up at the amphitheater was great and we stayed to watch the circus show which was also brilliant and hilarious. I was surprised there wasn’t a bar up there, but I’ve been told that in the height of the season they do have one in the wooden hut. The live music in the lobby bar was also very good, but it can be quite hard to find a table if you’ve been up at the amphitheater. The on site shop is also really good. The staff are very friendly and even let me come back later to pay when I was buying snacks for my daughter and the car machine stopped working. It’s very well stocked and we had to buy some baby food and nappies from there too. The only few things I would mention that weren’t perfect are as follows: There isn’t enough storage in the rooms The flooring around the pool is painful on your feet. I imagine it was put in to stop

I will start chronologically; the hotel is only 15 mins from airport, but it is very much over the flight path, which didnt bother me, but the planes were pretty regular, day & night. Hotel was nice to look at and very clean. Staff were nice, although i thought reception staff would speak better english. The pools are nice but very cold, so not good for children wanting to play in them. I recommend staying around the ‘private’ pool area, easier to get beds and away from the drunks. There is only one pool bar, which is only staffed by 2 persons, so the queues really build up. Very annoying. Cocktail choices are limited. No mojito or daiquiri for example. Biggest red flag for me is the flooring choice around most of the outside including the pools, it is a pebble dash type flooring. So it hurts bare feet, gets very dirty and when children fall (which they will) it really causes injury. (Sister hotel peurto royal has nice tiles) I loved the food, i definitely recommend the pizza. Not a great amount of choice of snacks outside meal times. The beach looked the best one for that area, with good amount of beds. Very shallow water. Didnt see a single fish though. The children didnt like the sand as very gritty. Watersports are limited, as there are peddalos and canoes, but you not allowed to use them unless there isnt a single wave in the sea. Kids club seemed very basic but the kids seemed the enjoy it. The rooms were nice clean and good bathrooms. But very strangely has only one shelf and no drawers for clothing & there is room. In summary would return when kids are older, bit they really need to sort that flooring, everyone moaned about it

This is my daughter’s first holiday abroad. The Animation Team/Kids Club and mini disco are excellent for their entertainment. The Animation Team are super friendly and my girls felt very welcomed. The live singing is amazing for the grown ups. I didn’t have to struggle for a sun bed and the water park was free. The beach is beautiful. All the staff made this a holiday to remember. We will be back :)

Perfect nothing to say ! Massage and spa was formidable moment ! J’ai eu la chance d’être massé et honnêtement pour avoir fait beaucoup de massage dans ma vie celui ci était exceptionnel ! Mon dos était totalement bloqué et grâce aux soins de mon masseur il ne l’ai plus du tout. Allez y les yeux fermés 😍

Beautiful hotel, staff are friendly especially Dauda, Ou, and Bella. Food was delicious, very relaxing on the beach. Great for cocktails too. Ideally located only 10 mins from the airport. The waterpark was great, lots of epic slides leading to shallow water
