The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut

Nice Ambience, Very Cooperative Staff, Nice food, Very Near to beach and town both. I like it most. Must visit place for couple and new comer to Kozhikode.Food is excellent. You will get opportunity to taste all Kerala Dishes. Nice and beutiful Yoga center

On a business travel for 2 nights, selected this property purely bcos of association with Taj. Clearly a heritage property unfortunately furniture, rooms, bathroom, exterior of the building needs refurbishment. The property is neither contemporary nor heritage. Limited menu of breakfast, limited staff (guess on account of low business) property does not stand up to the name of Taj.

Our experience was very nice. Nice rooms and comfortable bedding. Pool was enjoyed by us ***** with steam facility. Food was very tasty and breakfast spread was good. My kids enjoyed the stay. Service was also very nice. We received warm welcome. Experience at the restaurant also was very good

The best hotel in Calicut, awesome hospitality, ***nered and cultured staffs staring from welcome at entrance to the room service. Got the specific room as we asked for and we enjoyed a lot throughout our stay. Fantastic morning breakfast menu with any live ordering options. Rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and house keeping staffs are very proactive to check for room cleaning. Smooth check-in and even check-out also with courtesy extended by the reception ***ager. Pool is awesome and can enjoy with family and kids. Finally hats off to the valet parking guy (lean-n-thin with specs) at entrance, who do drop-n-pickup your car alone by running from here to there. It was amazing and fantastic hospitality experience.

Taj as usual never fails in its service standard and the same holds true for The Gateway Hotel in Calicut. Everything from check-in to the dinner and breakfast buffet was top notch. We had a special dietary requirement of Jain food and the same was met without any fuss. A special shout out to Mr. Jishnu, who went out of his way to make sure our stay was very comfortable.

Disaster, totally run down property of Taj, We are regular @ Taj, but this is one property we regret opt to stay ....I stayed @ this property way back in 2017, it looks the same but totally run down, the cleanness, as well the ambience need a huge upgrade. Staff seems friendly, but they gave a non prepared room and we waited outside room to get ready, first experience at Taj....wah wah Taj...

Centrally place the Gateway, easy access to the city center. Good spread of Breakfast and our Corporate event held at the Vasco Da Gama Hall. The teams is very supportive and also thanks to Mr. Hari from the Banquet team who was present at all the time during the pre-post event held on 29th Feb. Thank Hari

Friendly staff ,Clean rooms , good service , but food not good quality and not much variety , receiption most of the time very hot not air conditioning, good location near the beach ***y restaurants near by , transportation available all the time

The Gateway provides the Taj experience , tucked in a quiet spot, yet just a few hundred metres from the beach and xommerial areas. Small and compact with an old world charm, yet well appinted facilities and warm hospitality and servicw. Really enjoyed the stay and look forward to a longer stay.
