Bamboo Bonaire by Boutique Bonaire Unique Resorts

Just got back from 2 weeks at Bamboo and i must say it was an amazing experience! it was our first time on Bonaire and from our first call to the sales team, they made planning the trip very easy and accessible for us and had all the right answers to questions that helped us plan an amazing adventure to this tiny gem of an island. the room was spacious well-appointed and spotless, with a front yard that had a hammock, lounge chairs a BBQ and our outdoor dining area under the covered porch. The back yard had a private plunge pool for cooling off after a day of exploring, more loungers and the immense Balinese style bathroom with a double headed outdoor rain shower. In all the room was a perfect, intimate spot for couples looking for a tropical hide-away. there was no bar or restaurant service, but the room had a well sticked kitchen area and the is access to fresh groceries steps away or large modern grocery stores a short drive into town, you can stock up basics in the full-sized fridge, for us it was a perfect combination between sampling the vast array of high quality restaurants on the island and always having a cool drink or a snack at your fingertips at home Speaking of restaurants! Bamboo is the home of Chefs Restaurant, easily the best restaurant on Bonaire and possibly in the Carribean! the concept is unique (food is cooked, served and described by the chefs in a center stage open air kitchen) the quality of the locally purchased foods is outstanding and is presented and served in a multi-course narrated fashion with superb wine pairings by the 3 chefs who are your guides on this amazing culinary adventure. Chefs is a must-see dining experience, but reserve ahead, they are generally booked a few months in advance. the spa services are top notch and offer all types of massage and wellness treatments. very professional and skilled in the art of chilling you out, all the stress just goes away! All other tours on the island are available from the front office the staff there is trained in finding you everything, including car rental (a must) scuba, snorkeling, wind surfing, kayaking the mangroves, all things related to adventures on Bonaire. In all Bamboo is a hidden treasure!

My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite for our honeymoon in April 2024 during the off season. This was our first time to Bonaire. We had to postpone our original trip from September 2023 and the process to rebook was very easy. The resort is so beautiful. The grounds are so well kept and it makes you feel like your own private experience while on the island. It was very nice and quiet within the resort. The cottage is beautiful. They have a handpainted sign at your cottage when you arrive that you can keep after your stay. It was such a beautiful, unique keepsake. The food was delicious and champagne breakfast sent to the cottage was wonderful (this was an add on). We had breakfast 2 mornings and while it was delicious, it was the same options. This may be different depending on season and restaurant staff though. We also loved having the welcome basket with snacks when we arrived (that is an add on). The cottage felt so cozy, especially the private outdoor space. Be sure to check the availabilty of their restaurant CHEFS before you book. We booked in the off season and the restaurant was closed for vacation. There are other options within walking distance nearby though so we still enjoyed that. The staff was very kind and helpful. Very easy to message during our stay and booking excursions was great. While there are things in walking distance, a car is definitely recommended for the rest of the island. The private jacuzzi was amazing with our cottage. The pool area for the resort is beautiful, although small if many people were there. It was quiet whenever we were there, however. The hammam massage was amazing! Shiva the resort cat was also so sweet when we were lucky enough to see her out and about! We hope to come back another time and experience CHEFS! We highly recommend for couples!

We will be staying with Bamboo again. Our place was clean and modern. We enjoyed the personal plunge pool in our unit. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic with their recommendations of places to visit. They are partners with VIP diving who were outstanding. Bamboo was a quiet luxurious retreat in between dives

I recently stayed at Bamboo Bonaire where I experienced the attentive and thoughtful customer service from the team there. Cottages are fully equipped, very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Each cottage has its own private outdoor seating and relaxation areas. In addition, the grounds at Bamboo Bonaire are a true sanctuary to retreat to every evening. If diving, onsite air/nitrox tanks (packages available by VIP Diving) makes it so easy to grab tanks and get some dives in. I can’t recommend Bamboo Bonaire and VIP Diving enough!

Bamboo Bonaire is a small boutique hotel less than 10 minutes from Bonaire's main town, Kralindijk. It's not much to see from the road but once you pass through the (locked and secure) gates you enter an Asian-inspired oasis full of lush plantings, Buddha statues, fountains, pools, and ultra-private villa accommodations. All villas have outdoor courtyard, some with hot tubs or plunge pools; there's even a treehouse room for the young at heart. Tranquility rules the day here, and an on-site restaurant (one of the hottest reservations on the island, though some tables are reserved for guests) and spa mean you can really spend a lot of time here when you're not up for exploring. On the other hand almost everyone comes to Bonaire to dive, so the resort has an easy pickup service for O2 and NOX tanks and racks to dry your gear. The only drawback is that the resort isn't on the beach, but it makes a great base for exploring all of Bonaire's hidden beaches and dive spots, marked by yellow painted stones along the roads.

This collection of cottage are nestled in a walled green oasis filled with tropical plants. There is an attentive office stafd who can areange excursions or commect you with diving. The furnishings are gorgeous and modern. Room was comfortable. Kitchen had free coffee, full size frig and all the cookware needed. unit had a huge walk i shower. I felt like I was staying at a five star resort but econocally priced. Next door is a good chinese restaurant, ans across the street is the ocean. Would definitely recommend.
