Hotel Breitenburg

Hote Breitenburg is a great place for relaxation. It is modern, located in nature, has good ammenities. The rooms and spa are are modern, not too crowded. For a 3 night stay as a couple, we loved it. There were many kids around, but that was due to the relatively younger demographic than expected (it wasn't just seniors). Overall, we had a good experience, and would come back again on a deal (not at their usual rate). Negatives: Staff: It was Easter weekend, and they had hired additional staff - many youth workers. No bad experiences, but it meant that not every staff member had the same level of tact and experience. But it's ok. Food: The food was tasty, and there was choice. We were on half-board, so breakfast and dinner were included. Dinner was buffet. I would not pay 52 eur for the buffet if it wasn't included. Neither would I be happy to pay for a glorified sandwich with fries 24 eur. Overall, if there was a general theme to this hotel, it was ''we want to be 6 star, we charge for 7 stars, but we deliver 4 stars". If the prices would be a bit lower, it would have been a perfect stay. Not because I mind paying, but because what you get for that money is not that money's worth. Plus, you have to pay 10 eur PER NIGHT for parking, which is outrageous... put it in the price of the room

Nice new hotel from 2022. Nice restaurant, good food and very good arm chairs, Nice wellness. Location is the middle of nowhere. Poor service all over the hotel. If you go for dinner 19:30, food is removed 20:30 except dessert and hardly no dessert left 20:30. No "I am sorry" for billing 103 Euro extra to your invoice. Nobody asked for coffee after dinner - more focused on Breakfast the following day. No fire in the fireplace in the evening where you can be with a drink. Must have been expensive to establish the hotel in old buildings from 1912 but they should send the staff to Das James in Flensburg to learn about service in a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Have just returned to Denmark from yet another great stay at this fantastic resort-like hotel. Once again, the food proved excellent, the rooms very comfortable, the well-ness and relaxation area top-class, and the staff both friendly and extremely service-minded. Can definitely recommend and shall be returning again ourselves.

Very nice hotel for business trip. Superior room with view on the river is relaxing and the staff is friendly. You should Ask for superior room with view on the water sise .Buffet in the evening is a bit expensive. Beds are perfect and the sound level in the bedroom is helping to spent a pleasant night.

….then reality. Bought a Spot deal. The deal included a two night stay with breakfast both mornings and fee access to the Spa area during the stay. Evening buffet on the second night. Easy to find on a very remote and relaxing location. Parking is not free, which was a disappointment. The fact that this is on the county side with huge parking area. Beauty full buildings and the surroundings are kept in to perfection. Service minded reception and we got a swift and informative introduction to everything on the premises. The room: Absolutely stunning view from the room to the river passing by the hotel. Fantastic very clean room with sitting area in front of the floor to sealing windows. Great comfortable bed. Fantastic bathroom. Coffee facilities. Large TV. What we missed in the room: Hair dryer. Tea facility. USB plug. Wine glasses. Fridge. The SPA area is exceptionally. Personally I would return for the HAMAM treatment. My better half got the full body massage and was thrilled. Thumbs up for the two ladies. The Saunas and steam bath are really hot, which i prefer. Would recommend a cool bath to dip into. Suggestions for improvement could be an outdoor hot tub and som COLD water for drinks, possibly with lemon. Fantastic ambiance and atmosphere in the restaurant. Great buffet with everything for everybody. The wine list includes something for all tastes and budget. On our first night, we would have appreciated the opportunity to order a la carte. Not an option. Outstanding breakfast. It has everything. Cocked to order. Everything in great quality. Service. All in all outstanding, accept from the only male waiter in the restaurant, which seems a bit grumpy. If you’re not a golfer, take a long walk in the area. The reception gives advice. Would probably be back.

Wonderful hotel with the most amazing view and surroundings. The hotel is build with high quality materials and is very modern. Only minus is the the Spa is a "naked" spa, so we could/would only use the big pool. Breakfast have nice but could upgrate a little. I would love to go back thoug.

I am still here; the hotel is excellent but the experience not as nice : I arrived by bike nobody helped with the luggage; because was really cold and the air conditioning did not work properly before going to sleep the staff changed the room but nobody helped me with my stuff. The windows are not clean. Yesterday it was not possible to have some tap water in the restaurant, even if they charge you € 45 for a buffet dinner.

Amazing place with very comfortable rooms and wonderful scenery. The buffet options for both breakfast and dinner are excellent. The golf course is exceptional. They also have a spa available but due to time constraints was not able to use it

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel Schloss Breitenburg war leider eine Enttäuschung. Obwohl das Ambiente des Hotels sehr ansprechend war, konnte der Service nicht überzeugen. Das Personal war größtenteils unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit, was den Gesamteindruck stark trübte. Für den Preis, den man zahlt, hätte ich deutlich mehr Freundlichkeit und Professionalität erwartet. Das Essen war ebenfalls eher durchschnittlich und rechtfertigte den hohen Preis nicht. Hier hätte ich mir mehr Raffinesse und Qualität gewünscht. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel Schloss Breitenburg nicht empfehlen. Trotz der schönen Umgebung ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht stimmig. Schade, denn das Potenzial wäre definitiv vorhanden.
