Hurricane Helene Update: As of 5/12/25 the Town Of Lake Lure closed the lake to swimming and boating for the summer of 2025. As of September 2025 Chimney Rock State park is open as well as many shops and resturants in down town Chimney Rock. The Town Of Lake Lure has recently announced that LAKE LURE IS SCHEDULED TO REOPEN FOR BOATING AND SWIMMING MAY 2026! COME VISIT! Make sure and click on the video link above on the picture images. This link will give you the full experience of "The Nest" and how amazing this location really is. Our beautiful 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom Lake House is perfect for your family getaway. The main level houses the family room, kitchen, dining room along with the master and one additional bedroom. The massive family room with its gorgeous views of beautiful Lake Lure is perfect for your family to play games, tell stories, or watch your favorite movie. With windows to the vaulted 25 ft. ceiling and access door to the deck you are sure to enjoy the lake view this Lake House log cabin has to offer. The Kitchen is fully furnished with all dishes and tools to make your stay convenient and easy. The dining room seats 10 with additional seating for 4 at a game table in the family room. The master bed room offers private access door to the deck providing a beautiful view along with a private full bathroom with jetted tub. The loft bedroom offers a private space for quieter moments. From the loft bedroom you can capture truly amazing miles of lake and mountain views. This space also has a full private bathroom. The basement is perfect for friends or children of your group. There is a second massive family room in the basement with ping pong and game table. This family room has beautiful views of the lake as well as an access door to a second huge wrap around deck. There are three additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. The laundry room is also located in the basement. The upper and lower decks have access to ground with a path leading to our beautiful boat house and walkway. There are 2 extra boat slips at our boat house available if you decide to rent a boat from the marina. There is over 300 feet of lake front property which has a private dock wrapping around the entire point. Off the property point, water is shallow enough for kids to swim, play and enjoy the lake. Swim up ladders make it easy for climbing in and out. Our Pontoon boat is also available with this property at a weekly rate only. See amenities or contact owners for details. With the lake being closed to swimming and boating for the summer of 2025 we are not able to rent the pontoon boat. Awesome Family Vacation We had a wonderful time. The house was all that we had hoped it would be. There was plenty of room for everyone. The furnishings were nice. The home was clean and well stocked. There is plenty to do in the area as well as just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view.

Great time. I highly recommend this beautiful home. Everything was great. We used it as a base for my retirement celebration. Friends for the first 5 days; family for the 2nd 5 days. Would definitely go back to this same home.

What a great place! Gwen is an amazing host and incredibly responsive. Unbelievable views, great boat access, and comfortable kitchen and new grill. Would stay here again anytime!

Annual Family vacation Gwen's lakefront cabin was perfect for our annual family vacation. Our family has grown to the point of needing 6 bedrooms and this number of rooms is a hard find. The cabin was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the views of the lake were amazing.

Amazing Everything about our stay was amazing. From the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, fire pit and access to the lake. Our whole family enjoyed our trip.
