Super 8 by Wyndham Lawrence KU

Terrible experience. The room was not clean, sheets were stained, small amount of toilet paper on the roll with no spare roll, carpet needed good vacuum job, only 2 towels for 5 people, breakfast was a joke, nothing but Twinkies and some kind of brownie cakes, muffins pre-packaged, and bananas, coffee and very little else. Absolutely the worst Super 8 experience we have ever had! Would recommend avoiding this place!

The building seemed rather run down, but was only staying a couple nights while working at the campus near by. The first room, TV didn't work. Was asked at front desk if it was plugged in?!?! Next room on 3rd floor, TV worked but the window had clearly been broken in to from the outside. Screen laying on balcony, lock broken. Went to use restroom before going back to front desk and there was feces in the toilet!!! This room was clearly being stayed in by non paying guests. Given a 3rd room on second floor, hot as hell and air blew out heat never cool air. At this point after working 12 hours that day I just kept my stay and made the best of a bed and pillow, sleeping with the window open. Which with as much "traffic" is in that parking lot and other surrounding, was probably a good idea. Needless to say, NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Charged me for a stay I didn't choose. Won't help me...keep saying call this and they don't be help to solve this problem. Makes me feel uncomfortable with your hotel. When you call and they won't help but took your money is not cool

Let's start by saying that the gal at the front desk was super polite, the bed was comfy, but it went downhill fr there! Carpets in dire need of replacement, there was what looked to be dried blood on the side of the tub, headboard removed and leaning against the wall, walls were in need of a scrubbing, paint peeling in bathroom, and then there was the breakfast or shall we say lack of....choice of choc chip muffin, bb muffin or twinkies. No toast even! I passed on those, thought I'd grab a tea for the road but the lids didn't fit the cups. Totally disappointed! Not what I'd expect for US$80.00!

Do NOT book here. The hotel smelt like mold and ****. The bathroom was dirty. There were holes punched in the wall. We did not stay due to not feeling safe sleeping there. We last minute had to find a new hotel which was expensive and stressful. When the manager was notified of the problem, she did not care and did not help us with a refund at all nor did she even apologize for our experience. Pay the extra money to go to a place where you can feel safe and that is actually clean with friendly staff.

This is by far one of the worst motels I have ever stayed in. The surly staff, the dilapidated condition of the building, the non working air conditioning, stained carpets, sink, tub, and counters makes me think they should demolish this motel and start over.
