Had a voucher to spend from our parents from Christmas. Never bee, so didn’t know what to expect. Well, it was simply lovely, had mushroom to start which was different and beautiful. Burger for main which was one of the best I’ve had in years. If you like blue cheese it’s a must. Kids had pasta which they enjoyed and the wife had cod also very nice. Thank you to the lovely staff and complements to the chefs. We will see you again soon.

We have recently had a family Sunday celebratory lunch at Mallories and everything was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was amazing, special mention for the chef and his team. Our party was nearly 40 in total, and everything was perfect. Communication with Julie (owner) was easy, responded to any queries/changes promptly, nothing was too much trouble. All in all a perfect family celebration.

Enjoyed an excellent lunch here on Mother’s Day. Appreciated that they didn’t inflate their prices just because it was Mother’s Day! The beef was superb. Probably one of the best Sunday lunches we have eaten for a very long time! We will definitely be back

Visited for a catch up with friends today and the food was outstanding from start to finish. If I owned this restaurant I would lock the doors to the kitchen and never let the chef leave! Such attention to detail and stunning presentation, every dish was both delicious and a joy to look out. I’d recommend this place to anyone and look forward to revisiting.

Visited for a lunchtime meal with friends as it had been recommended by friends. Firstly I must point out we were the only table in the restaurant so it lacked atmosphere. Our starter of soup arrived cold so we asked for it to be warmed and the second one came out luke warm. Our mash potato for mains was also stone cold . This is the basics not sure how a chef can get it so wrong.

The food is fantastic, some of the best, reasonably priced food around. We love the food but the only downfall is the service. The service is the exact same every time, slow, inexperienced and unprofessional. The young lady who is always there is very pleasant but clearly is incredibly inexperienced and shouldn’t be in the position she is in. The young lady seems frantic, not knowing the true meaning of hospitality. This lets this establishment down drastically and puts not only us locals but others from attending again. It would be such a shame to see the restaurant close as the food is incredible and the beer is very well maintained. There is light in some of the staff there, a couple of weeks prior we went for a Sunday lunch and was served by a tall darker head young lady who knew her stuff. She waited on our family hand and foot which was a very pleasant surprise! All in all we would go back again as we would never want to see a local place close, but we would like to see some changes as this could be our weekly spot. The service in my opinion sticks with you more than the food, if they nailed this down it would be the best place to go around here. Kind regards.

Highly recommend, we came here after being recommended by Mallory Meadows where we are staying and it didn’t disappoint. As soon as we walked in you just felt the friendly atmosphere. Food was amazing, service was 11/10. We will definitely be back when we come back. Thank you so much! 😊

We visited on a Tuesday evening, and the restaurant was full. Stunning meal, food was amazing, staff and ambience second to none. We had the a la carte menu and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend, compliments to the chef, we will be back very soon.
