Pierre & Vacances Residence les Sentiers du Tueda

Family ski holiday 14/01/23 - 21/01/23 We travelled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 & 6, staying at Les Sentiers du Tueda in Mottaret, Meribel between Saturday 14th January 2023 & Saturday 21st January 2023. Our flight from the UK to France was delayed slightly however, not a great issue and the transfer was shorter to Meribel than expected, 90 minutes. We arrived at Les Sentiers du Tueda about 2200, Saturday 14th January 2023 and we were dropped off about 500 metres from the accommodation with our luggage, 4 suitcases, 2 ski bags and our hand luggage. We had a challenging walk on snow / ice to the accommodation up and down stairs, thankfully the Crystal Rep assisted us with our luggage. On arriving at the accommodation, the Crystal Rep gave us 1 set of keys as the check in desk was closed. We made our way to our room and on arriving at the door, there was a dirty bath towel over the balcony and an open, half used bottle of washing up liquid sitting adjacent to the door. On entering the room which was supposed to sleep 4 persons, I was surprised at how small the apartment was and how little storage space there was. Once inside, on examining the apartment, I was disgusted find the following: 1. The bin was full of rubbish. 2. The bath was dirty and had areas of soap scum. 3. The wash hand basin was dirty and had areas of soap scum. 4. There were hairs left adjacent to the wash hand basin. 5. The floor had not been hoovered. At 2230 on the Saturday night we were unable to do anything about the cleanliness of the apartment and had to get organised and get the kids ready for bed in what was simply a dirty apartment. On going in to the kitchen cupboard to get the bedding out for all the beds, we discovered that the bedding was also dirty, yellow / brown staining on the duvets, the sheets and duvet covers were dirty as were the pillow slip covers, one of which was also ripped. Unable to obtain clean bedding, we had to sleep with some bedding, what we could salvage from the bedding available, unacceptable given that it appeared that the previous occupant’s bedding had actually been replaced with the fresh dirty bedding that we found. Due to the state of the apartment, we sent a message to the Crystal Rep late that evening, without reply. On our first morning, Sunday 15th January, reception was not opened by the time ski school started and as such, we were unable to complain or obtain clean bedding. Ultimately, we had to prepare breakfast and eat in what was, a dirty apartment. Given that we didn’t know when we would get the opportunity to speak with staff, my wife went to the local shop and purchased cleaning materials and instead of skiing for the first day of our holiday, she cleaned the apartment to an acceptable standard that was fit for habitation. Later that day, the reception area was open and I spoke with the staff member at reception. I explained the situation, advised of the dirty bedding and advised that we had purc

Even having booked a 1 bedroom apartment upgrade for myself and my adult son, this was still the most cramped ski apartment I've ever stayed in. However, it is in the perfect location just across from the main Mottaret lifts (ski in/ski out from all pistes into Mottaret), it was warm, had unlimited hot water and free fast wifi, so as long as you're able to work with the limited space, it's a great base for a ski trip to les 3 vallees. The room containing the ski lockers is similarly cramped, but again, it was adequate, and they have a room to leave your luggage on check-out day (but beware that it's locked from 12 noon - 2pm - we weren't warned of this in advance and only overhearing someone else mention this meant that we were able to rescue our luggage before it was locked away when our bus was due to pick us up). Another plus point is the assistance they give you to recycle, with a dedicated recyclable waste bag provided in addition to the main apartment bin, and waste disposal rooms next to the lift on each accommodation level. There are ample restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as two supermarkets and a pharmacy. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

Arrived on 21st Jan 23. Staff friendly and helpful. Room warm, clean and cosy. We did upgrade to one bedroom for more space. Have stayed here many times. Plattieres lift directly in front of reception giving early access to 3 valleys ski area. Will definitely be back

Très déçue par ce Pierre et vacances qui est vétuste et qui mériterait une réhabilitation complète. 3000€ la semaine pour 35m2, la prochaine fois je prends un Airbnb entièrement rénové. Insonorisation catastrophique, équipements de l'appartement à revoir entièrement. Equipements de la cuisine de mauvaise qualité, escalier qui grince dans tout l'appartement et la chambre du dessous, douche avec rideau et meubles qui datent de 30 ans, literie petite et inconfortable, pas assez de rangements, aucune prise électrique dans les chambres et salle de bain. 3 prises en tout pour 6 occupants c'est honteux !!! Le logement n'était pas optimisé, nous avons connu mieux dans aussi petit. Je met 2 étoiles pour l'emplacement aux pieds des pistes mais c'est tout.

Résidence confortable et idéalement située, nombreuses randonnées de tous niveaux directement accessibles à la sortie de la résidence. Personnel sympathique, accueil chaleureux. Commerces à proximité immédiate. Je recommande totalement.

Pas de personnel le dimanche à 14h pour les arrivées Pas de bars en bas l après midi, peu de restau Station très calme l été, pas assez de restau ou bars ouverts notamment en altitude!!. Pour les rando, le mieux c est de partir tôt pour le refuge du saut, en passant par la forêt en haut du chatelet. Y dormir pour les plus belles rando, ou alors y aller en vtt et se faire plaisir dans ce petit coin super du parc de la Vanoise. Mention très bien pour randonner en partant du télécabine du pas du lac, vue de ouf, puis descendre par le telecabine Vizelle 2 pour monter ensuite à pied au col et rocher de loze et ses lacs avec vue inégalée dans le coin. Rando a faire du telecabine de tougnette jusqu au mont de la chambre wahouu. Enfin,le parcours botanique du lac tueda a faire suivi d un repas au refuge du plan Pas de forfait telecabine 3j, c est l arnaque, par contre les descentes sont free.
