Memoria Lisboa FLH Hotels

Christmas trip to Lisbon Had a great stay at the Memoria Lisboa for our 2 night trip. The hotel is in a great location and has been converted but retains many of its original features with clean simple decor. Rooms are clean and modern with a modern bathroom and some nice little touches. A living room serves coffee and snacks all day with breakfast being served 8.00- 11.00am. There is a good selection for breakfast. Staff were all friendly and professional. Location is great - only 5 mins to Rossio metro station with lots of shops and restaurants on your door step. The Christmas markets were close by. The old part of town and the river are nearby so accessing all the main sights is easy. Try a free walking tour when in Lisbon as they give you a real feel for some of Lisbon’s history - hotel was only 5 mins walk from start of tour. Would recommend this hotel 😀

The hotel is not located at the best location but close to most attractions and city centre and could be also more quiet. I like the living room next to breakfast restaurant and they always have hot tea and coffee with snacks for guests at all time. It would be nice if they can install some hooks in the toilet for towels and loose items- an improvement area.

숙소 덕분에 너무 만족스러운 여행이 되었습니다. 3일이 너무 행복했고 위치 또한 좋았어요. 만약 호시우역에서 캐리어를 끌고 숙소에 걸어온다면 캐리어 무게가 무거운 경우 오르막길이 조금 힘들수는 있겠어요. 하지만 심한 경사는 아닙니다. 룸서비스로 먹은 햄버거도 너무 맛있었어요. 리스본에 다시 돌아온다면 다시 묵을거예요.

This was a great find. Good location for touring the city. Super staff - mainly young - very friendly, helpful & efficient. Room & bed (& pillows) comfortable & clean. Good buffet breakfast included. A nice bonus also to have 24-hour access to coffee & cake in quiet lounge - a good opportunity to chill for a while after lots of walking!

The location is fabulous right opposite the castle lift and within easy reach of lots of areas. Unfortunately we had a really unpleasant stay that was really unnecessary. We had a room at the top of the building for 5 nights it cost over £160 a night. it was a little dark with high windows but we were happy at first. The staff room was right under our rooms’ stairs and from the morning onwards, when it was in use, we could hear everything down to crisp packets being rustled and the words of music/loud talking. When we raised this the default response seemed to be denial that it was happening or saying we must be hearing other guests. I videoed the noise and this showed it wasn’t. We were moved room however this was an inconvenience and the staff weren’t particularly friendly about it. On the morning we moved we were woken from 6:30am with banging from below. The new room we were moved to incidentally was completely different with a kettle but no fridge and a small hairdryer different to the previous room. Seemed like the rooms have odd items and not a consistent feel. The hot water also didn’t work time times and the air con was minimal. For the price it just was a real disappointment and spoiled our stay in Lisbon. I’ve since emailed the hotel as we were offered a small refund but no response.

Rarely have we met such friendly (authentically friendly) staff in a hotel; the hotel location, the beds (!!) are all fine or even great, but it is really the (young) people working there that made the difference for us. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, good location. Would recommend. Few small things to mention... Not sure how much hot water there is as I had to have a cold shower for 2 mornings out of 3. Not a huge amount of storage in the room. We had to open up our suitcase and slide it under the bed. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Booked this hotel for a short break in Lisbon not expecting much by the 3 star rating, however the 3 star is no representation of this hotels 5 Star rooms, breakfast and service in a perfect location for Alfama and surrounding areas; I would not hesitate to stay here again. And the Free cake at 5 for hotel guests was a touch!
