The first night the young woman who checked me in was very kind and I was met with a smile. Unfortunately my car broke down and my boyfriend and myself were dependent upon someone else for a ride. Our plan was to get the room for another night and again unfortunately this did not work out. Management came to our door at11 and agreed to let us stay in the room until our ride arrived. Due to him not being able to arrive until 1-1:30, we were asked to give a$25 deposit upon this stay which was definitely understandable. We were told as long as we left by checkout or paid for another night by checkout we would receive the deposit back the next day. This did not happen and the same kind and cheerful young woman who greeted us with a smile began to yell and say deposits have always been their policy. I I have stayed here before and never have had to pay a deposit. As far as the room, I swept and mopped the floor. I am not a "must be spotless" person but our feet were sticking to the floor. When I asked staff for towels and soap I was told "a woman should not need soap for at least two days" and a bar was tossed at me in the room and the heat did not work. The tempature dropped to 32. All of this seemed to happen when our car broke down and we stayed past checkout time which was approved by the same staff person. I have never given a review like this but feel a person should be given dignity and respect, as long as the guest/customer remains civil and respectful.
