Redchurch Townhouse

I had a great stay. What I love about the Soho House group is that you can invariably guarantee a fantastically comfortable bed, fab array of Cowshed bathroom products, and multitude of handy provisions such as hair straighteners, toothbrush, razor etc. My Tiny room was, as anticipated, pretty compact, but still, a lovely, light, cheery space to spend time in, and very peaceful. The location is great for exploring Shoreditch, the tube only about 3 minutes walk, and the area offers multiple, trendy dining and shopping opportunities. There’s also a Pyscle spinning studio right next door if you fancy a spot of exercise. The hotel doesn’t have a bar or lounge/workspace like many others in the group, apart from a teeny area around the reception desk, but there is a Cecconi’s restaurant on-site, serving breakfast through to dinner. We used it for breakfast and food and service was good. Check-in/out was efficient and super friendly from the very marvellous, very charismatic, Marvin. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It’s a little farther flung within London but it’s in a trendy area, on a quiet street, and there’s an overground stop about 2 minutes away- you can be just about anywhere within 20 minutes. The attention to detail in this hotel is lovely. There’s excellent amenities in the bathroom including cowshed in the shower- the shower pressure is VERY good, the bed is comfortable and has about 800 pillows, which I personally prefer. I stayed in the room alone, and it was a good size for a single person. I imagine it might have been a little cramped if you have more than one suitcase? Not an issue for me. The a/c was arctic when I came in, which in July was much appreciated. Good closet space, affordable crisps and such in the room, and free tea/milk/cookies, which made it so nice to wake up. They also have a turndown service which was pleasant to come back to. The decor was very cute, and while I wish the nightstands had a little more room for a glass of water and my glasses, that’s a small annoyance. There are some great restaurants close by, and I wish I could have explored more. I moved on to a different hotel in London during my trip and honestly, I regretted it. Should have come back to Redchurch.

Redchurch Townhouse is one of the few Soho House properties that can be booked by non members. It is an excellent property and highly recommended. The location is great - right in the heart of Shoreditch with great shops and places to eat right on the doorstep. The staff were excellent - particularly the front desk. They struck the balance just right between informality and professionalism. Service felt authentic and warm, competent and friendly. What stands out is the exceptional design and style of the property. First and foremost - everywhere is comfortable, which is certainly not a given even in top hotels. The decor is thoughtful and interesting too. Great fabrics, interesting art, beautiful books run throughout. Perhaps most impressive of all is the attention to detail and amenities. It is by far the best I’ve seen outside of Japan - and the Japanese are masters at this. Rooms have every imaginable amenity - not least 8 products to use in the shower! All are lovely Cowshed products. But that doesn’t begin to scratch the surface - loofah pads, ear plugs, dental kits, thick comfy slippers, fresh milk, full bars with cut glasses. The only misstep - surely a hotel at this level could do something more interesting than PG Tips... It all creates an atmosphere of generosity, homeliness and - most of all - comfort and relaxation. We had a great breakfast in the hotel - with excellent quality food and good coffee. The only small blip - a noisy air con machine - was fixed within minutes. We would undoubtedly stay again and the property is a credit to the Soho House brand.

I was in town for work and as a Soho House Member I thought I would stay at the new Redchurch. It wasn’t particularly expensive in comparison to similar standards in the area so don’t believe some of the reviews. Like most Soho Houses it was finished in a very homely yet minimalist fashion. Like the name suggests a townhouse, it’s rather narrow and I wouldn’t really want to stay longer than a night or two. I would agree with some of the reviews, the finishing touches are a bit slap dash yet it has all the amenities you could ask for and more. I was in room 9 a tiny room, yet it has ample space with everything well designed and stored. Wonderfully comfy bed, fluffy gown the list goes on… The only challenge I did have, is it didn’t sleep particularly well as the air conditioning unit was SO noisy 🫣 I stay at Soho Houses often, Barcelona is 100% my favourite so far - it I haven’t checked them all out… so stay tuned 😉

This is a very cozy and good place to stay when in London. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and have a lot of amenities. Location is also superb. Close to public transportation, and only 15 min walk to City. Also lots of good restaurants and bars close by. Minus for some noise from aircon outside and semi-friendliness/attentiveness from from desk personnel (absolutely not up to standards for what I expect from Soho House).

Wonderful hotel! Loved staying here from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. I stayed in the medium room which was very spacious for 1, would be perfect for 2. The room was clean, quiet and well designed. Service at the hotel was exceptional.
