Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

Ah Wen and his wife and family made me feel very welcome in his tulou. He recommended a tour guide who took me to visit the important tulous, which is necessary because they are far apart. Food wise it was delicious and Ah Wen (or Stephen) tailored a one person set for me consisting of a variety of Hakka dishes in a small size. I'm very happy to have stayed here.

Very authentic and managed by the owner of the tulou so cheaper than the other option but don’t expect too much. Really very basic and authentic

If you are planning a trip to Longyan to see the old Mulan-style tulou’s土楼, I recommend booking your accommodation here! Living in these rustic yet super clean surroundings adds to the experience. The hotel owner, Stephen, is extremely helpful with planning day trips to the different villages in the area (at a fair price), so there’s no need to book anything before talking to him. Overall, I felt welcomed by the family - and the food at the inn is good too!☺️✨

Our stay at the inn was fantastic! The owner is incredibly kind and hospitable, and helped arrange transportation to and from Xiamen providing great suggestions for nearby scenic areas to visit. The food at the hotel was delicious. I highly recommend this Inn for a wonderful stay, delicious food, and fantastic views.

Very helpful owner who is the 6th owner of the Fuyulou (Fuyu Building). I suggest you shall book the hotel first before you book for any other tour arrangement at tulou. The hotel owner will be able to provide a very personalised tour arrangement with reasonable price and with local advise. Hotel is clean and feels like home. Food is good too at the hotel. We had our dinner every night at the hotel. Very highly recommended stay, food and tour.

Nice and comfortable stay. The Inn owner is kind and hospitable. He also help to arrange transport to and from Xiamen and the visit the nearby scenic areas.

We stayed for three nights and really felt at home right away. Very friendly hosts. He organized daytrips according to our wishes. Could lend bikes to get around the village. There are Lightshows and drones at night. Kids enjoyed as well very much ☺️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Stephen and his family who run this beautiful historic rustic inn. Our room was simple but clean and warm - we were very happy. Stephen was also amazing help with arranging our touring around the tulou sites nearby as well as getting us to and from Xiamen. A stress free streamlined experience. Also can I compliment the craft beers in the fridge! And Italian coffee for breakfast. Happy customers :)

周邊村落環境很好，樓本身就是景點，住宿乾淨衞生，住在土樓裏面別樣的體驗。樓主家人做飯也非常好吃！樓主阿文熱情也樂意幫助別人。接送我們同時免費為我們升級房型。水瓶遺忘在樓裏，樓主主動聯繫，幫我們郵寄到家。去永定還住這裏！

숙소 안에있는 나무 사진보고 반해서 예약한건데 토루에서의 숙박 잊지 못할 것 같아요👍 밤에 근처 토루에서 공연한다고 하는데 아쉽게 못가서 다음에 재방문하면 가보고 싶네요🥹 오래된 건축물이지만 숙소 내부는 깨끗하고 정갈했고 주변 풍경도 넘 좋았어요! 숙소 주인분도 정말 친절하고 유쾌하고 좋은 분이었어요🥹

客棧主人很熱情，房間枕頭很舒適，配套設施也OK，早上還提供了自家燒的早飯，在院子裏吃飯很涼爽。客棧非常適合慢生活，悠閑時光品品茶。

È una esperienza da fare, dormire in un tulou piuttosto che in un albergo. Mancano le comodità ma il contesto è unico. Arredo essenziale ma pulito. Massima disponibilità dell'host. Consigliato !
