Dolphin Guest House

We have just returned after a long weekend stay. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had an amazing view. Parking permits are also provided for the car park opposite, which was very convenient. The best part of our stay though was the breakfast... there are no words for how incredible it was, the ingredients were fresh and locally sourced and cooked to perfection. We would definitely stay again!

We cannot recommend enough, where to start...Great location with amazing views of the river, a lovely beach within a 5 min walk. Some great pubs and restaurants close by. Plenty of surrounding areas to visit via car or the train station 2 mins away or regular bus services available too. The Guest House itself is absolutely stunning, the little touches by Stephanie and Andrew make such a difference (and they truly are fantastic hosts) our room was decorated lovely and cleaned to a high standard, breakfast was exceptional, a really good choice on the menu too. We had a fantastic stay, I didn't want to leave!....100% recommend.

This is an absolutely lovely Guest House, really close to the town and with your own parking space. We had a fantastic weekend there in May 2025. The hosts Stephanie and Andrew were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The whole place was absolutely spotless. The room we stayed in had a lovely view of the estuary, it was well appointed and beautifully decorated. Great variety of breakfasts on offer, every one cooked to perfection. Licensed bar so we could have the odd drink before venturing into town. The whole place has a lovely friendly atmosphere to it. A very special place. We loved it so much we immediately booked up to go again next year.

A brilliant stay. A guesthouse overlooking the estuary, so fantastic views from the front. A nice covered terraced area for guests to sit and also enjoy their welcome tea and coffee on arrival. What a lovely idea! Hosts were very hospitable and helpful making sure guests felt welcome. Room on top floor had a fabulous view. Nice clean room with attention to detail - everything you needed down to box of tissues! Particularly liked the fresh milk put in the fridge every day for your morning cuppa etc. Biscuit choice too. Very comfy bed. Plenty of hot water, and toiletries. Plenty of sockets too. Breakfast was fabulous, Plenty of choice and flexibility. Beautifully cooked. Not scrimping on anything All high quality, specially lovely back bacon. Hosts were lovely. You could see they cared about their guests. Parking permits paid by owner enabled parking nearby. A great stay. Thankyou or making our visit so enjoyable.

Lovely couple who put themselves out to provide the little extras. Comfy room and bed. Super cooked breakfast. Would highly recommend. As the house is approached by a steep slope, and obviously because it is a beautiful period property without a lift, this must be taken into account when booking. However, we loved it!

second time staying in this beautiful hotel. Stephanie and Andrew are just the best hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. the rooms are spotless and comfy. The breakfast is freshly cooked with a lot of choice, the fresh kipper is my favourite, the full English breakfast is also very good. Looe is a beautiful place with many good pubs, eateries pastie shops and independent shops. Will definitely be returning, and staying at the Dolphin House.
