Aparthotel G3 Galeon

Nice and clean place. Check process was smooth and the staff was so friendly. Only little issue was the WiFi from our room was not great. It wouldn’t work in bedroom but main area it was fine.

This is hard to evaluate. The positive - convenient location for me, clean, spacious, all the necessary equipment. The not so great - which is not the necessarily the fault of the hotel - there was a party from other guests until 2 in the morning. It shouldn't be up to other guests to remind others about quiet hours and how to behave in hotels. This is accelerate by the shockingly bad automated check-in experience - no person, just a computer and the stepped process was not clear and faulty. No person to ask question and if you have multiple people checking in it takes ages. Furthermore, you only have a phone number to call when you have problems with other guests. In my case they triggered a fire alarm and had a party. This could easily be avoided with having staff on site. I don't like to give this hotel a bad review as it is a good place to stay. But this lack of personal and noise is a downer.

Arrived at 8.00 in the evening. Reception is closed at this time, which we knew it would be, and so to check in you have to use an automated system. We entered our booking number successfully but the machine crashed while trying to give us our room keys. The machine then displayed an out of order message with a phone number. We called the number and were told that they would need to send a technician out to repair it, and it would take him an hour to get there. Not good. 2 young children of 7 an 10 and we are sitting outside on the street with all our luggage. Only one automatic machine and it's broken. 9.15 and still no technician has arrived.

I have stayed at the Galeon five times now, before and after Covid. I've always had a great stay, including this one. You get an incredible amount of space for the price. It's not super fancy but the beds are comfy, the kitchen is a massive bonus and all is clean. Good storage in bedroom and bathroom. There are plenty of places to eat nearby but they are not tourist places - friendly though. Close to two metro lines. The only negative point is the introduction of the self check in machine. I found it very frustrating to use. I could not get it to scan my passport. Fortunately there were very helpful staff on hand to assist me. (THANK YOU!) However if it had been after 5pm when staff finish then I dont know what I would have done. Also the machine is exposed to the weather. Not so bad in the summer but not sure about late on a wet February night. Not having any staff around in the evening made me feel a tiny bit vulnerable. I would have preferred to see a friendly face other than on arrival. It wont stop me staying here again but for me it's a step backward.

This property was really good. It has a really easy check in process and the staff are very friendly and was very understanding of us barely knowing English. I wish I could stay longer and I know the next time I stay in Madrid, it will be at this apartment hotel again. Very close to the nearest metro station and very close convenience stores that stay open late. Be prepared to buy your own seasonings and food but very spacious and very accommodating! 10/10

Habitación familiar con sofá cama, cocina y habitación cama doble. Hay garaje en el hotel. Algo alejado del centro, en barrio no turístico. Pero muy bien comunicado con el metro a 1 minuto andando. Algo liosa la entrada con el código que has de recibir (has de clicarlo en la puerta de entrada y much@s nos equivocamos).

La recepción está solo por la mañana así que si llegas tarde te haces el check in tú mismo. Nosotros éramos 4 pero al subir al apartamento solo había toallas para 2 y como no había nadie en recepción tuvimos que compartir toallas. Tienen una consigna para dejar maletas pequeñas. Si vas con una grande te toca pasearla por todo Madrid. Además a las 11 am te desconectan la llave de entrada así que si vuelves más tarde porque quieres aprovechar el día ya no puedes recoger tu equipaje. Hay un teléfono que se supone que es de emergencia pero no contestaba nadie. Suerte que una familia salía y pudimos recogerla. Los apartamentos están viejos y las puertas de los armarios no encajan.El metro está muy cerca y en los alrededores hay mucho comercio. A pesar de eso no volveremos

Excelente lugar, no cabe duda que en relación costo/calidad supera las expectativas. Muy recomendado
