⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a solo traveller staying for one night, I was genuinely impressed with Portare Home in Mae Kampong. It strikes a perfect balance between feeling homely and offering all the amenities you’d expect from a high-quality stay, all set within a beautiful jungle environment. Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. Overall, this was a really relaxing and restorative stay. I’m very glad I chose Portare Home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Kampong.

We had a really good time during our stay, the manager is really helpful and friendly. The luggage service is amazing; they moved our luggage from the car to our room. We also offered a welcome drink. Every corner is carefully curated, Instagram-worthy! I like that we got a balcony to ourselves. Breakfast is so good, it is a local breakfast that we will miss a lot. Will definately come back again for the serene and nature and also the service and warm hospitality!

Highly recommended for friends, couples, or families. The owner pays great attention to every detail of the decoration. All the materials used are of very high quality and carefully selected. The staff are very friendly. For dinner, I highly recommend the shabu-shabu — the soup is homemade, the pork is high quality, and the dipping sauce is delicious. The coffee is also excellent. Plus, there are adorable cats you can play with, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. 🐱

The hotel is in a very good location, convenient and easy to get around. The hotel itself is nice, with beautiful decor and a comfortable room. Breakfast is Thai-style, which is a lovely local touch. However, the rooms are not very soundproof, and you can hear noise from neighboring rooms, including music or conversations. Overall, it’s a pleasant stay with a great location and a nice atmosphere.

Great place and really good view plus breakfast

A beautiful hidden retreat in Mae Kampong. The mountain views from the balcony were breathtaking, and the room was cozy yet stylish with warm wooden touches. The freestanding bathtub overlooking greenery was such a highlight — pure relaxation. Perfect escape from the city. Peaceful, comfortable, and highly recommended 🌿
