Hotel June Malibu

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel June! Shania at the front desk was so welcoming, offering suggestions on things to do and eat in the area. The pool area was really nice and the pool itself was heated, almost felt like a hot tub! The room itself was modern but cozy. It had everything you need, and offered plenty of snacks and drinks. There’s even a little patio in the back with chairs and a hammock! The hotel is right off Pacific Coast Highway but you can’t hear the traffic (only frogs at night which was honestly peaceful). There’s complimentary coffee and also snacks for purchase in the lobby. The location is really close to Point Dume and Paradise Cove, as well as other great beaches in Malibu. I would stay here again in the future!

Hotel room flooded during our stay. We were not moved to another room nor were we offered a refund. Hotel staff was not able to repair the broken toilet and we had to wait a day for a plumber to arrive and address. Pool was filthy for entire 3 days were at property. TV didn't work. Great location and cute rooms. Be aware that they don't offer daily housekeeping service during your stay. I would say the value is less sharp when you take these things into account.

Super friendly and accommodating staff, creating a lovely experience. Calm little hotel situated conveniently for those exploring the Malibu area. While the rooms have a paired down feel, the beds are very comfortable and fresh pastries are offered in the morning. The room lighting is somewhat dim, however, the hotel provides portable lanterns that serve as convenient lighting alternatives. If you're looking for an unpretentious, cozy and calm place with exceptionally friendly staff, this hotel is the perfect choice.

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday and had a great time! The staff was very accommodating and nice! The hotel is in a great location, with close proximity to point dume and Zuma beach. I recommend if your looking for place to stay In Malibu, I recommend the hotel June.

What a delightful slice of heaven this was! After a long flight this was the perfect place to refresh and recharge. Everyone we engaged with was incredibly helpful, the room was comfortable, and the pool was perfect for a morning dip!

The staff is best! Robin (she is so accommodating, professional and friendly!), Leah and Roger are extremely helpful and welcoming. The property is unique and calming. The vibe is everything you would expect in Malibu. The rooms are so simply and tastefully decorated, ultra-clean and have everything you need. The housekeeping staff are excellent and do an outstanding job. We will be back again!

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway from the Bay Area and we couldn't have been happier with our landing at Hotel June Malibu. First of all, if you're going to Malibu and you want a more laid back pace/experience and natural beauty, you want to be in Pt. Dume. The beaches/location are spectacular! A lot of reviewers complain about the hotel being on the PCH, but EVERYTHING in Malibu is on the PCH. Even the multimilliion dollar homes. It's just part of the experience and the double paned windows in the rooms really do a great job muffling the noise. Honestly, it didn't bother us at all. The pool was a perfect spot for getting some work done and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I took pictures of the landscaping to inspire my garden at home. We had a blast.

Hotel June is easily accessible with beaches minutes away like Zuma and Paradise Cove. Cozy California coastal feel in Point Dume. Clean room and bath, Aesop amenities, custom robes and straw tote with beach towels. Yoga mat with class streaming was a great touch in room. Cool Malibu beachy vibes. Fresh coffee and tea with Gjusta pastries and easy ten minute drive to Malibu pier. Beautiful pool and staff was perfectly friendly and accomodating.

While the decor was pleasing and the bedding comfortable, these positives were heavily outweighed by the following: 1. Cost: The hotel is vastly overpriced for what it offers. In addition to the initial booking rate, there were numerous additional fees that made the overall cost unreasonable (e.g. $25 per day for "daily amenities". Basically, it is water and wifi). Also, no dedicated dining or breakfast room, which may not be what you would expect from a hotel in this price range. 2. Noise: The hotel is situated on a very busy road, and the constant traffic noise was disruptive, especially when you want to enjoy the outdoor space. 3. Room size and amenities: The rooms were very small and lacked basic furniture. We had only one stool for seating (and a wood bench that we used to store the luggages) which was inconvenient. Given these drawbacks, I wouldn't choose to stay at this hotel again and would advise others to look for better value elsewhere.
