Grand Kruger Lodge and Spa

We have come here since 2014 and keep on coming back. Uwe has done so many positive improvements over the years and the Staff is very helpful as always. Nothing is to much for them! The roads are not perfect for the place, but he you are in the Bush, what do you expect. We absolutely love the location and will be back. The place is spotelessly clean! The hotel is in a lovely quiet setting in Marloth park where Kudu and Nyala are wandering even onto the property. There is a main lodge with 2nd floor comfortable rooms as well as several. family sized bungalows. We booked two rooms. But it was the staff who really made my experience memorable! Service was warm & personal. They engaged the guests, encouraging us to chat by the firepit before and after dinner. The chef was excellent, and we had a fantastic game drive in Kruger with Kruger Africa Safari. The lodge also offers this service, but we did ours on the spur of the moment Surprise,Rose,Inocent,Precious and Priscilla great service they are an asset to the lodge. Some recommendations it would be nice if the dinner was also Al Carte and not only a buffet. Breakfast was top notch. Please note there is no TV, but this place is so relaxing you don't need one and I enjoyed taking books from the bookshelves to read. I will definitely be booking another holiday at this place. Also, on New Year's Eve we were offered snacks and drinks at the boma.

Reception was lightning quick and we were a party of 30 international people. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms modern and showers with stone floor are cool. The catering was first class with buffet food served outside on the large patio. Food was local, fresh and the variety broad. The bar is well tended and drinks range from local to international. Cocktails are well worth the try. Pool is small but clean and now and then we had visits from Gnu, Zebra and Wart Hogs. First class establishment.

Staff here were amazing, always very helpful and super friendly with incredible service. The food is great too! We were never left hungry during our stay. It was very quiet and relaxing. A great location with lots of options for activities. We happened to leave something very valuable in our room, and staff were amazing at helping us organise a courier service to get it back! We were lucky enough to see all the Big 5 on our game drives! Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Kruger National Park!

Hoping to go there again because my time was limited to experience everything as it was my first time going there but the few hours we've spend there was amazing the staff was so friendly especially Surprise.

The resort is lovely, the staff provided excellent service so would recommend. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with one of the tours we booked, the places visited were great but the transport provided (given advertised as a luxury tour) was unacceptable, a rickety dirty taxi! The owner needs to take better ownership of this, we (group of 10) didn’t get a very good result when speaking to him of this.

Had a really great stay.staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. Thr lodge was beautifully setout in natural bush habitat with resident warthog and the regal kudoe passing by. Rooms were comfortabl. Slept well. However we were in the bush chalet and could not get a constant warm shower.it was reported and there was some improvement but could not get consistently warm water. Breakfast packs on game drive we're very good. The driver/guide was excellent. Dinners were always excellent. Can't understand why for dessert we seemed to get halves ie half a chocolate volcano ? On the morning of our departure no brewed coffee was available only decaf? But on the whole we had a really great stay and enjoyed it very much. Would recommend to anyone

Staff was amazingly polite and cheerful. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Their attitudes were superb. I would highly recommend staying here!!

If you want to sit back, relax and take a breather from busy city life, then this is the ideal place. Late afternoons on the deck, quenching your thirst with the glow of sunset beyond the lowveld trees. The atmosphere is shaped by admiring stories of days gone past whilst sipping on that generous glass of wine. The lodge itself is well planned, with a beautiful set restaurant, separate bar, easy lounge where you can just sink into the leather sofa's and dust the day off. The units are well-furnished with comfortable beds and a mini fridge. The beds are extremly comfortable and I've never slept under such crisp and fresh linen ever. A plus was that wifi is available all over the property even in our Cottage which made it easy to do a small amount of work and yes there is loadshedding but they are prepared with a minimal amount of discomfort to their clients. The staff is attentive and warms up the atmosphere from check-in all the way through to housekeeping. The owner is definitely doing something right. The lodge gives you the feeling of being in another era when animals still roamed freely, grazing right next to you, still wildly aware but also content with the human footprint that is left behind...
