I felt compelled to write a review of Ada Julian after reading many mixed reviews on Trip Advisor before I visited myself. My brother and I stayed at Ada Julian in March. This time of year is the very start of the season for hotels/businesses in Turkey, meaning the area and hotel were considerably quieter than I was anticipating. With this, the hotel was blissfully quiet, with there being an abundance of sunbeds available (noted from other reviews that this is not the case in the summer months, as there are only ~100 beds for a hotel which can host >200 guests) (& including being able to get up in the morning at 10 o’clock and there be 95% of the beds still free), rarely having to queue at the bar for a drink, and there being a relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. I note that many reviews comment on the lack of evening entertainment, this is true, so if you wish to stay somewhere with daily entertainment, this won’t be the place for you! There are however many bustling bar’s within stumbling distance if you wish to have some more lively evenings. There are many redeeming factors of this hotel: the excellent service with attentive staff, the daily room cleaning service, the location which is very close to the beach and the selection of drinks and cocktails available. This being said, the hotel is certainly not faultless. The beds in the hotel I can only compare to that of sleeping on the floor. I understand that this is common in more eastern countries, but this was nearly impossible for me to adjust to. Secondly, the food. I appreciate that catering for a limited number of people in an all-inclusive manner is difficult, but the food available was very limited, and many evenings the food was questionably cold (cold rice, especially). The food for me was a great disappointment, and I warn future guests that by the end of the holiday you may be looking forward to returning home to a square meal! Location wise the hotel is in a great area, whether you want to sunbathe on the beach, walk around Marmaris or go shopping for all of your genuine fakes this is really the place! There is an Irish bar directly opposite the lobby of the hotel, which whilst I was there was not open (thankfully), but I can imagine this is quite a distraction in the summer months, and as seen from other reviews, causes a considerable noise problem for guests here. This is not to say that the hotel is not a good place to stay; I have had an immensely relaxing week away from my normal hectic life at home, with the staff being incredibly welcoming and the service has been incredible (I would like so specially mention Erol, who went above and beyond at every opportunity). In terms of value for money, this absolutely meets the expectations of what I paid for, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone considering visiting in the March/April time of year (as I can undoubtedly see the noise and small number of sunbeds being an issue in the summer months, and therefore summer
