We had a wonderful time staying at Aux Bories. Nathalie and Eric were gracious hosts, offering suggestions on restaurants and places to see. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with temperature control and a lovely bed. We were lucky enough to have a dinner prepared by Nathalie and Eric one night and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing while indulging in their smoked trout (delish!). Thank you for a lovely stay!

Honestly- what a truly wonderful B&B this is!! The room we were in was decorated beautifully and SO spotlessly clean! The surroundings are a delight to come back to after a day of exploring, so peaceful, quiet and relaxing! I can’t even begin to compliment the ample, delicious breakfast! But what sets this apart the most, is the amazing hosts, Nathalie & Eric - they are so warm and friendly! Nothing is too much trouble & helpful with their advice on the area. And I should also mention - if you have the opportunity, order one of their charcuterie platters to enjoy one evening. Lots of delicious, local and homemade goodies! Thank you Nathalie and Eric.

We had an amazing experience visiting the Dordogne in France. We were so fortunate to find this fantastic B&B, Aux de Marquay, minutes away from Sarlat, and run by a very lovely couple, Eric and Nathalie. Their hospitality was superb, the gounds were beautiful and the rooms immaculate. They sent us on our way each morning with a delicious breakfast and were happy to help us, answering questions, and even providing us with a little booklet that explained the most amazing sites which are easy driving distance from the B&B. There are ancient caves where people lived 30,000 years ago which you can visit inside by walking, or in a little train, or a boat. Then there are the views of storybook villages, river valleys, and castles. A really magical area of France, and we can't recommend this B&B enough to be your home base. We look forward to returning!

The Bories of Marquay was a wonderful place to stay. Our hosts, Nathalie and Eric were warm, engaging and very helpful people. They were a joy to be with. Our room was lovely and the grounds beautiful. Breakfasts were terrific, including coffee, tea, rolls, meats, cheeses, eggs, yogurt, and more. We had a wonderful dinner that we helped Eric and Nathalie prepare, and with our urging, they joined us for dinner for a delightful evening. I can't think of a better place to stay!

Nathalie and Eric are amazing hosts and equally amazing people. We felt so welcomed and comfortable in their B&B. It was as if staying with friends. The B&B is beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent. Nathalie makes the best scrambled eggs ever. We had a wonderful evening preparing a dinner alongside our hosts. Then we all sat down together and ate. A great evening. And, so not to slight her, their little West Highland terrier, Cookie, was an absolute delight. All in all, a wonderful experience. If I could give them 10 stars, I would give them 11!!!!

Cosy but comfortable, very clean, copious breakfast, warm and welcoming hosts. Quiet location deep in the countryside, very peaceful. Small but refreshing swimming pool. Excellent place to stay, easy access to Sarlat and the surrounding area.

A beautiful place to stay in a great location for exploring the Dordogne. From the warm and genuine welcome, the lovely room and breakfast and wonderful optional dinner our stay was a real pleasure. Great value and would not hesitate to stay again.

If you are planning a trip to the Dordogne, do not hesitate to stay at Aux Bories, a pretty old farmhouse in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful villages, medieval castles and prehistoric sites of the Dordogne. Eric and Nathalie give their guests the warmest welcome and run Aux Bories with a great deal of love. Bedrooms are thoughtfully designed and very comfortable and well-appointed, the gardens are lovingly attended and Nathalie’s cooking is excellent! The table d’hôte dinner and breakfasts of home-baked dishes and homemade yoghurt were all delicious, as were the generous platters of local produce including Eric’s home-smoked trout and goose. Eric and Nathalie have many recommendations for local attractions and restaurants and kindly helped us plan our days, as well as sharing many interesting stories with us. We had so much fun with them! Aux Bories felt like a home from home, it really is magical. We didn’t want to leave and hope very much to return one day. We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful B&B. Eric and Nathalie are extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us many good tips about things to do and see in the area. The breakfasts and the Table d'hotes were also delicious!

A memorable stay with kind hosts Nathalie and Eric, who go the extra mile and try to anticipate what each guest might enjoy. While our stay was a few years ago, we still remember it fondly. They paid such sweet attention to our young daughter, kindly offering her pancakes (because American kids seem to enjoy) at breakfast, and real hot cocoa alongside their other delicious treats. They also concocted a special surprise note and treat "from the fairies" as they knew our daughter still believed in wee folks. Lovely folks, and the place is so beautiful!

We have had the most special stay here with Eric and Nathalie and can honestly say that it will be very hard to beat. They are so very warm and welcoming and make you feel very valued guests with their time, knowledge and genuine love of people. They have created a hotel which offers peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is full of local products and examples of Nathalie’s cooking which is a delight in itself. They are willing to give recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit which are all within 30 minutes away which enhanced our stay even more. The pool looked very inviting with sun loungers and parasols and everywhere was spotless. Thank you so much Eric and Nathalie for a memorable stay and we sincerely hope to visit again at some point.

A friendly guesthouse run by Eric and Nathalie, in the green countryside, not far from Sarlat-la-Caneda. An excellent location for visiting the beautiful Dordogne area. The rooms were well designed. Breakfast was excellent - prepared by our hosts. We even visited the Jacuzzi. Our hosts assisted in planning our trips to the the beautiful villages and Padirac cave. Sincerely hope we will be able to visit Aux de Bories Marquay again.... Ruth and Muki, Varda and Yossi

Natalie and Eric are the consummate hosts! Natalie provided us with lots of suggestions of things to do while we were in the area and they were all excellent. We enjoyed canoeing down the Dordogne River. The breakfasts were excellent and the gourmet dinner that we had one evening was superb. Eric smoked the trout and it was delicious as was everything else that was served, all at a very reasonable price. The grounds and our room were immaculate. Excellently maintained property with the most gracious, friendly hosts you could possibly find.
