Riad Zoraida

Road Zoraida is in a really convenient place for exploring the old parts of Marrakesh (be aware you can’t get to the door in a taxi). It’s quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are really nice and very helpful and they speak brilliant English. Breakfast is also great. Highly recommended :)

This riad is like a protective haven from the hustle and bustle outside. It is within the Medina but down a quiet alley with not much traffic outside. The indoor pool is a lovely treat, the rooms are really comfortable (& I was in the cheapest one) and the staff were all simply wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and Khaleed, Ayoub and Mohamed were friendly, professional and helpful at all times. I really appreciated being able to have a late checkout and use the pool before going to the airport. Thank you so much! The housekeeping ladies and chef were also delightful and smiley and I wish I could've communicated with them more. Natacha and JP, the owners, were also really nice and left me a note and some pastries on my third night. These little touches really go a long way. I can't forget to mention Bagheera, the princess of the riad, whose presence was much appreciated as I do miss my cats while I'm away. Breakfast was delicious and slightly varied each morning. The coffee was good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was perfect! Getting there: I used their airport transfer which I recommend as it costs €18 and was money well spent to avoid being hassled and to have someone waiting for you when you arrive. Also, the riad would be tricky to find for the first time, especially in the dark!

The Riad is in a good location close to the Bahia and Baffin Palaces and an easy walk to the souks. The communal areas and suites are lovely, traditional in style and the roof terrace with divans and sun loungers is a bonus. The service levels from all the staff we encountered were really high. They couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent, particularly the homemade yoghurt and the hot tomato and possibly harrissa sauce that came with eggs this morning! The breakfast varies a little each day and we couldn’t eat it all and we have big appetites so you won’t go hungry.

Beautiful riad with wonderful staff. We received a reply warm welcome and were well looked after throughout our 3-night stay. Abdul and Yusuf were so friendly and made sure we always had what we needed to enjoy our time in Marrakech. The food was lovely, and we also enjoyed nice local meals at Un Dejenuer (beautiful roof top terrace with great views over the city) and La Pergola (a jazz bar set in another gorgeous riad) - both had a good selection of alcoholic drinks. We enjoyed trips to Jardins Majorelle/Berber museum/YSL museum, and a dinner in the Agafay desert. The riad is a great base for exploring the city.

Beautiful typical traditional riad in central Medina area on 3 levels with 7 rooms in all. Very attentive and helpful staff. Excellent orientation and advice given on arrival. Lovely breakfast included. Within walking distance of everywhere central. Marrakech is an amazing, vibrant city with sights, sounds, smells to excite.

We had an amazing stay here over Easter 2023. The staff at this Riad in the Marrakesh Medina are all unfailingly helpful and hospitable, from their welcome when we arrived at 1030 am after an 0600 flight from Gatwick to offering mint tea and cookies when we came back exhausted after a day trawling the souks. Our suite, the Zoraida suite, was a delight, with a gorgeous bathroom and sitting area and balcony overlooking the riad’s central courtyard. We availed ourselves of the rooftop hot tub after a long day sightseeing and also enjoyed a riad hammam on our last evening. The food in the riad was great, from the breakfast (Moroccan breads, jams, yogurts, eggs, mint tea, coffee, fresh orange juice) to the meal we had in the riad on the last evening. The whole decor and feel of the riad makes for a very relaxing stay. I would not hesitate to return and to recommend. We also enjoyed the trip to the Ourika Valley organised by the riad, and the airport transfers. Very good value for the price. Thanks you!
