Alpine Hideaway Zillertalerhof - 4 Sterne Superior

This is possibly the best half board hotel we have ever stayed in! Everything without exception was perfect. Our room, the staff, the bar, the wellness centre, and wow, the food. We loved it and if we come back back to Mayrhofen this is where we would stay. We Cant fault it. Perfection! Thank you for making the few days we had with so fabulous.

We have spend our Christmas holidays for several years now in the Alpine Hideaway Zillertalerhof. This is in many ways a top of the bill Hotel. All the rooms, restaurant, bar, and pool/wellness area are beautifully and modernly designed decorated. Especially around Christmas the atmosphere is wonderfull and gives you a special feeling during your stay. Every year all the staff makes you feel welcome and at home. All this atmosphere accompanied with a culinary greatness in the morning with the breakfast but especially in the evening. Every day a five course dining with great quality, the same experience we have with Michelin star dining restaurants in the Netherlands. All day is a wonderfull experience for adults but also for our children. The hotel is located near the cosy and great city center of Mayrhofen and you can walk to the cabin lifts which take you to a great ski-area. We have spent many holidays in 5* hotels, but this hotel is in many ways a true 5* experience!!

My Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights . We was welcomed by Julian on reception with a welcome drink . The staff here treat you with the utmost care and are so attentive to all of your needs . The dining options are outstanding with a great range of breakfast foods and eggs made to order and bought to your table . The 5 course dinner in the evening is of the highest standard . The Spa/Pool area is first class with drinks service . All of the staff are so friendly , we felt so welcomed in our 2 days spent here . Everything here is first class and the decor is beautiful. PS The little Chihuahua is adorable

Constant theft from the sauna / pool area so beware. There are other hotels in Mayrhofen to stay in with a pool/sauna, so look around. Lack of staff care and clarity. Myself and other people had items stolen. The staff didn't seem to care and then have the audacity to charge for the robes that were stolen once you've left the country. No mention of this was made when going up to reception in swimshorts despite telling them someone had taken my robe and room care etc. They wait until you are flying home to charge the card. A similar situation happened where someone else had shoes, robe and wallet stolen. CCTV was apparently not on at the time. This person also got charged £50+ for the hotel robe.

We have been staying here for more than a week and each day I m grateful to each and everyone here at the hotel. The facilities are excellent and the food deserves a Micheline star. Some small nice touches make your stay here a real treat. I usually visit around a dozen hotels per year and this one will definitely be on my Top five list.

We stayed for 9 nights for skiing in Feb/March. Nice and clean room! Food was very good, especially 5 sets dinner :) Good ski room, but could be air warmer instead of heat for the boots. Good massage! Nice bar (But they need to learn to mix Aperol Spritz :) ) Thanks for the food in the room when we was to late because of train delay and thanks for the transport to the train. Want to come back some time.

The amazing: Amazing food, very high quality of execution. Don't miss a single dinner here! We had amazing Venison, Lamb, Beef Tartare, Pork Ribs. Breakfast is also wonderful, good variety and quality. The spa is also very high quality, Saunas were well functioning and good. The staff is super courteous, helpful, nice. The just OK: The room is comfortable (mostly), Beds were too bouncy, granted apparently this is popular in europe, so maybe I'm the only one who doesn't like this. The not so good: Lockers are too small, my brother's 171cm snowboard wouldn't fit. Room does not have a kettle for nighttime tea. Power is turned off during the day in the room, which means the in room refrigerator loses power as well. The annoying: Code of conduct (rules on the door) is not enforced on other guests: - Saunas are supposed to be nude, some guests came in with bathing suits. - Some guests brought in cellphones (with Cameras) into the nude spa area - Some guests brought their children into the 16+ spa area. While this is not part of code of conduct, some guests were overly loud in the Spa area and Dinner lounge. This includes speaking on their phones in quiet areas, yelling in the dining room.

The hotel is quite close to the main town and not too far from the main ski lift. There are circulating buses that pass the hotel so no need to walk if you don't want to. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff most helpful and friendly. Food was provided each night with choices of main course. It was beautifully presented and very tasty. The bar was a nice place to go after dinner and again, service was good. The hotel has a spa and small pool to relax in. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had a 'cosy' room which was quite small, so no desk and little clothes hanging space, but it had a great shower and bathroom. Beds were fine, although they had a thick piece of sponge on top which made it difficult to sit on the side of the bed. I'd have that removed if I went back. A mattress topper would be more comfortable. Overall we had a great stay, felt looked after and would happily return if we go back to Mayrhofen.

One of the best accommodating hotels I have stayed in recently. Everything was just super - from the very welcoming staff and management team, the well-equipped rooms, the great spa and saunas, the lobby and bar, the breakfast, and also the walking distance to every bar, restaurant, and lift in Mayrhofen. Definitely would stay here again!
