Hotel Metro, Autograph Collection

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Staff was great and our valet Keyonte was very helpful. My spouse and I stayed there for a weekend to relax and are very satisfied with our choice. It is in an area of downtown close to many places to visit so we had lots to explore.

Great downtown location of a boutique hotel. Rooms are large, spacious and well appointed. Soaking bathtub and shower. Two bars and a dining room. Comfortable pillows and beds. Attentive staff. No noise from the streets. In room refrigerator and coffee maker, with ironing board.

My group and I walked into the lobby of this hotel and were rudely greeted by a brunette who claim that we "forced the door open". She was completely unprofessional, very disrespectful and did not handle the situation well at all. I would not recommend this hotel based on the service we received from this host. She escalated this situation to something that could have been easily deescalated. This was an unfortunate experience. We will not return.

The location of the hotel was nice and made it easy to walk to lots of nearby restaurants. The size of the room was large as was the bathroom. Unfortunately, there are two major issues that are probably out of the control of the hotel that would make us not recommend this hotel nor stay here again. First, our room, 412, was street facing. It was generally pretty quiet, until 2:00 AM when the club across the street closed for the night. Then, a lot of people congregated outside on the sidewalk for about 45 minutes, yelling and generally being loud and drunk, keeping us awake. Additionally, around the same time, the heating system started making loud buzzing noises every 30 seconds to 1 minute. We called the front desk multiple times to complain, and they said they had never heard of this before, however said other people had called to complain as well. It took about an hour for the sound to finally diminish. This was a rare night out away from our toddler, and we had looked forward to a night of quiet, uninterrupted sleep and an opportunity to sleep in. We did not get that. We almost left in the middle of the night to drive home because we really just wanted to sleep. It was a disappointing stay.

Pretty close walk to anywhere to do anything and pick from a lot of restaurants and bars walking distance... hotel it self is very rasy to navigate and room was very clean and welcoming.... huge room and surprisingly big bathroom... really nice property

Stayed here for two nights while traveling for work. Stayed on floor 6, the executive floor in room 600. It was a lovely corner room that was very large with a couch, fridge, and fire place. The design of the hotel is lovely and everything is very clean. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel restaurant Oggies which was also great. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Had an incredible stay here in May. My stay was so lovely that I took the time to write a review, made sure to book the same hotel again and even convinced my teenager to join me on this trip to check out Milwaukee. Not having the same experience so far! I was given a key for room (507 I believe) and when I walked in, the room was occupied. Look, I travel a lot for work. I get that mistakes happen but fortunately I have never had someone walk into my hotel room (or vice versa). This is a safety concern. Please don’t ask for ID if you are not going to actually check the ID. When I went down to the lobby to get a new room, I explained the situation and I was told to wait for a new room. I waited about 15 min. while other guests were being checked in (?!) . Finally I was given my room, which was significantly downgraded from the room that I booked and paid for. The room I was given, 603, has a cute tub and fireplace but the TV does not work and is much smaller than the original room. Not a great start 🙁on a side note, the occupant in room 507 keeps quite a clean room!

We came from AZ for the Harley Davidson festival. The Metro was a perfect location near Veteran’s Park. The associates at the Hotel were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Arika at the front desk helped me get my Harley event tickets printed from my email. She was super friendly, has a great smile/personality and I was so happy the next morning when she was working so we could let her know how much we appreciated her.
