Sacha Urco Lodge y Bosque Protector

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights. On the second night we had a tiny wedding ceremony with a total of 6 people. Tony, the reserve manager, was THE nicest and MOST accomodating hotel manager I have EVER met. ANYTHING you need, Tony can probably help you get. We didn't need any special accommodations for our ceremony, but Tony made sure we had everything we needed. The cabins are beautiful and have a sort of.. upscale treehouse feel to them, and our room's shower was a screened in, indoor-outdoor shower so it felt like showering in the forest without the bugs interrupting...in fact, one time we had some horses walk by in the distance while we showered...where else can you get that kind of connection to nature? Best part of all is that the money you spend goes towards maintaining and protecting the nature preserve that the hotel sits on. **HOT TIP**: the hotel is tucked away in the forest, maybe a mile or 2 away from Mindo City center, I would recommend grabbing everything you might want from the city before getting to the hotel because there is no "quick walk" to the store, you know? I would also recommend bug repellant spray, candles or oil for your room because the light can attract bugs at night. Special thanks again to Tony and the staff who were such great hosts!! We plan to come back someday, maybe on our anniversary, God willing!

Our stay at Sacha Urco was wonderful! Our Cabin was very nice and comfortable with awesome views from the front windows. The natural swimming pool was also a very cool bonus and all the trails. Sol and Tony were great hosts and were attentive to all our needs. Overall a really great place if you are a nature lover! Highly Recommended.

Loved this place. We had a wonderful cabin facing the mountains. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the shower looking into the forest was great. Toni was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. The place has a great sustainable ethos.Lovely walks around the area. Wish we had booked to stay longer. Thank you all for a great stay

We had a peaceful, beautiful stay in this private lodge. Welcomed with sparkling wine, we stayed in the modern Lake Bungalow with stunning lake and nature views. Sol and her husband were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to accommodate my spouse’s mobility needs after surgery, even delivering delicious dinners to our bungalow. Though we couldn’t hike, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our time at Sacha Urco Lodge. The owners and staff were kind and attentive. The food was phenomenal. We chose to stay on property for much of our visit, enjoying the trails and birdwatching. The guides brought in for the night hike and birdwatching tours were knowledgable and provided us with great information and photo opportunities. We are a multigenerational family, and all of us agree that Sacha Urco was our favorite stop during out 2+ week vacation in Ecuador!

We had a wonderful couple of days in Sacha Urco. A real escape from it all in the cloud forest. The cabin was beautiful - overlooking a pond with frogs that serenade you through the night! Tony and the team were very friendly and helpful. We loved watching the hummingbirds from our breakfast table.
