Queensberry House B&B

This is a very nice hotel, rooms were spotlessly clean, the bed and pillows were comfy. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts Myles and Caroline were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. The hotel is situated a 5-10 minute walk from the small town.

Lovely B&B, clean and comfortable. Best nights sleep of all the places we stayed. Bed was so comfortable. Good choices for breakfast which set us up well for the day. Enjoyed our chats and appreciated all the advice on where to go and where to eat and not just in Moffat. Parking in the street is plentiful, so much so, the water board decided to do emergency drainage works without warning and we still got a spot really close.

Queensberry House was a delightful base for us to enjoy our first visit to Moffatt. The accommodation was first class and the bed was the comfiest I've slept in for years!! Caroline and Miles couldn't do enough for us - such excellent hosts!! The breakfasts were incredible and Miles makes a mighty fine lemon drizzle cake too!! can strongly recommend a visit. We will be back!

My husband and I had an enjoyable stay at Queensberry House. Our double room was very clean and comfortable and fresh milk was provided for our drinks when required. Moffat centre is a 5minute walk, with some lovely independant shops and we enjoyed a drink at Moffat house to meet friends and an excellent Tapas meal at Hugo's. A whole new experience at breakfast, a porrige sundae. Pre soaked oats in natural yoghurt overnight, topped with fresh fruit, delicious : ) , then a full English , set us up for our days adventures.

We have just returned from a holiday in Scotland and had the pleasure of staying at Queensberry House B&B in Moffat. When looking for a place to stay in Moffat there was no contest - Queensberry House looked perfect and on arrival we knew we had made the right choice. We received a warm welcome from Miles and Caroline and they sat and chatted and advised us on the best places to visit in the area to suit us (we honeymooned in the area 42 years ago and it was a trip down memory lane). Their website is brimming with information of what to do in the area - a two night stay was sadly too short! From the moment we booked (we phoned and spoke to Caroline to book, and did not go through a third party as we feel that is not as personal and when you speak to someone, you just 'know' that it's going to be good) we received various emails providing us with more information about local attractions, favoured places to eat in Moffat and Caroline kindly booked a table for us at one of the recommended restaurants for our first night (and it was indeed great food). Queensberry House is located on a very quiet road just a short walk from the High Street which has a good range of shops, pubs and cafes. Our room was lovely - amazingly comfortable bed, excellent quality bedding and a great ensuite shower room. Miles makes a fantastic breakfast - he obviously enjoys cooking. The range of breakfasts on offer covers all tastes and were simply delicious. We would highly recommend Queensberry House B&B. Caroline and Miles provide a warm welcome, comfortable rooms and smashing food. Thank you for making our stay in Moffat so enjoyable. Sally and Tim Doughty

It's a great small B&B, driven by lovely people! The rooms are fine. And the breakfast - wow! The town is only 10 minutes direct walk or about 15 minutes on the riverbank. Looking forward to come back some day...

Just spent 3 nights at this fabulous B&B while in Moffat for a walking weekend. The owners, Caroline and Miles are very friendly and welcoming and offer really comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms - we had the best sleeps in ages. Very tasty breakfasts, beautifully cooked. Our first time staying here and it won't be our last.

We stayed Monday to Friday recently on a spur of the moment booking and we weren’t disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by Caroline who kindly offered us a pot of tea with shortbread. Our room was one of three which was located to the rear of the house with a view of the garden. The room was extremely clean and we had the most peaceful, quiet and comfortable stay. We can say it was honestly the nicest B&B accommodation we’ve ever been to. Parking was not an issue, as on street parking was no problem and always plenty of space. Plus point, the centre of Moffat is only a very short and pleasant walk away. Breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of choice. Miles and Caroline were knowledgeable on the area, and always willing to offer ideas on places to visit. We’ve already recommended this places to friends and no doubt we will be back at some point in the future
