This hotel was a great find. Just off the A6 and 4 mins drive from Beaune which is beautiful. Service impeccable, beautiful hotel with well furnished rooms. Breakfast was fantastic but they don’t do Dinner-book le Berger du Temps-it’s a great restaurant and 2 mins walk- but do book, it’s busy! Couldn’t fault our experience , and will be back!

What a beautiful place to stay! A warm welcome, gorgeous setting and really enjoyable stop on our road trip. Spacious rooms, comfortable and modern despite the hotel having a lovely rustic feel. Delicious breakfast on the terrace overlooking very pretty gardens. Highly recommend this wonderful place either for a weekend away or an overnight stop.

My wife and I loved our 2 nights at the Hotel le Clos in Beaune. Beautifully maintained and restored. I loved all the exposed brick and stone. The room was large, quiet even though it was near the lobby, we were never disturbed with others coming and going. Lovely courtyard and garden where we of course enjoyed wine from the region. Exceptional service, willingness to speak English, and offered plenty of tips for visiting the region. We had a car so parking was included with plenty of spaces. It’s just outside of Beaune and a very easy drive to the city center. Worth the stay!

What a super stay in this carefully restored hotel which is run by a very friendly husband and wife team. The other staff are also superb. Set in beautiful grounds with flowers and a beautiful terrace for breakfast al fresco. Pool is perfect with lots of places to relax and lots of loungers with pool towels provided. Room we had (18) was large with a comfy bed and pillows a magnificent shower and lots of plugs in all the right places. Ambience very French and decor thoughtful and beautiful throughout. They get that part 100% right plus the rooms from a practical nature are brilliant too. Located 5 mins from Beaune and so much more than a one night stop en route somewhere. Recent review said carpet not good idea. Trust me it was superb! Stay here if you can.

As other reviewers have commented, this hotel provides an extremely convenient and quiet stop from the motorway. The hotel building is charming and authentic as are the grounds, but other aspects are severely lacking. We first stayed in May 2022 and on this occasion the light immediately outside the room wasn’t working. We asked the owner if it could be fixed as it was impossible to unlock the door without resorting to the torch on our iPhones, but he just shrugged and declared it not possible because it was a Sunday(?). The second time, we stayed in a duplex suite. Upon arrival we tried to switch on the A/C which didn’t work, so asked the owner if it could be fixed. He explained that we could either have heating or A/C, as it wasn’t possible to have both working at the same time. We confirmed that we would like the A/C as the bed was in the eaves and it was very stuffy. He told us not to worry and that it would be sorted. Of course it was no surprise to us to find that he hadn’t fixed it, and after the light incident the previous year, it just didn’t seem worth the hassle to ask again. To compound the issue, the skylight would open, but then not close again properly. This property has potential, but is poorly maintained with an owner who doesn’t seem to care about his guests’ needs The decor is tired and breakfast is adequate, but not great for the €18 per head. We won’t return.
