Mountain View Eco Lodge Montagu

Very peaceful and quiet accommodation. Clean and comfortable room, good breakfast with a good variety of food. Spacious parking area. The pool upstairs the dek area is such a relaxing place to sit during the day AND in the evening to watch the stars.

We had such a wonderful time at Mountain view lodge. In the evening we had a lekker braai and sat by the fire, very cozy and relaxing. Friendly and helpful owners, clean rooms and a super nice breakfast. With the rate below R800 per night definitely one of the best value for money you can get in Montagu. We will definitely be back!

From the first experience with male owner, who does not know how to be a host too the broken bedding, it was overall a bad experience. They dont have wifi. The toilet seat was craked. They give the host half a ply toilet roles to use. They do not have dstv. They give you a kettle in the room with no coffee or tea. They do not have a microwave. They do not have anyone cleaning the rooms in the mornings. If i had advice for this establishment do not let the male owner engage with guest he does not have a report and is very unfrienly. Make changes to your furniture and dont let your guest sleep with broken bedding.

An absolute nightmare. Owner/manager rude. The photos are misleading, because it does not reflect the present state of rooms, building, and also no breakfast or restaurant! Not value for the money spent. I absolutely will not recommend this lodge, because there are so many beautiful and well equip place in Montagu.

Heated pool🙈 right! Does fabel prices include holes in bedding, seethrough pillows, DEFINITELY NO Wi-Fi...... . Be honest sir: your lodge is similar to plakkerskamp hut in RSA! YOUR LODGE IS A JOKE!! From which looneybin, Mr Lodge owner?? Fellow travellers... Stay away from this lodge. The "fencing" around the swimming pool is a hazard waiting to happen. I'm concluding my review with: the owner does not know what the meaning of just basic good customer service is!!

We only stayed two nights but were made very welcome. The room was nicely designed with african features and comfortable bed. We would have loved staying longer. Comfortable and lovely to sit on the high deck as the view was spectacular. With our group of people using the braai area on a nice evening it was just perfect. The breakfast buffet is sublime. I would just say that there are steps up to some rooms and to the rooftop deck which may be a problem for some less fit people.

Quiet little place up in the mountains. Friendly owner. Good size rooms and clean and great views from the roof terrace.
