It is right in front of the ocean. It has brrakfast which is ok. The town itself is charming.

It was a pleasure using the hotel. They were updating/refreshing the the building by decorating which I took as a positive. Being in the trade winter is the best and only time to be able to carry out the work with the lest disruption to guests and not possible at peek times (summertime)

Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. It’s a great little hotel on the seafront and within walking distance of the local amenities and attractions. Unfortunately, and it’s the same everywhere, needs a little updating and fresh paint/carpets. Scaffolding on the outside, I’m guessing roof issues. Maybe they are updating, starting at the top lol. Overall a very pleasant stay and we will probably stay again next year 👍

Reasonable price. But they gave me single room although i booked twin bed room. Original room had problem with light in bath room. So, i expected the same or similar size but they didn't. Additionally, floor of hallway and the room looked dirty.

Hotel is in dilapidated state, almost falling apart. Owner said that’s why the room rate is so cheap, which is hardly true. Entrance to the hotel was hard to find and the reception is not manned at all times. One star rating is already overrated.

Hotel undergoing refurbishments but doesnt impact your stay, Lovely friendly staff, hotel room nice and clean, basic but everything you need, tea/coffee, towels, tv, plenty of sockets for charging devices, en suite toilet/shower. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and fresh toast/drinks, ‘chef’ asking everyone if there was anything else they wanted/needed, would definitely go back and stay again.

WARNING DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL . STAIR CASES AND STAIRS ARE VERY DANGEROUS APPALLING DECORATION. BREAKFAST IS POOR .WINDOWS BOARDED UP ON THE GROUND FLOOR . BEDROOMS PASSABLE. AS FOR PRICE ITS AN EXPENSIVE GLORIFIED SLUM .

Older traditional hotel,but Gary very helpful,& friendly ,very clean bedding,,breakfast ok.not high end ,but good value .

Stayed one night just to get away for a while. Knew the snow was coming soon. Knew it was a budget getaway but rooms were what we expected for the price. The lady at reception was very helpful with any queries. Breakfast was substantial and as much to eat as you wanted buffet. Slept like a log in a clean and comfortable bed.

Very good value place to stay in Morecambe. Good option for a budget hotel. We went for 2 nights in December paid £92. Hotel was undergoing building work on the outside. The place is in need of modernising in places. Our room was adequate. Clean, good amenities. Plenty of plug sockets in the right places. The bathroom is okay. Shower one of the best I've seen. The room could do with decorations refreshing. Room was warm and quiet. The buffet breakfast was good given what we paid. Plenty of choice but no vegetarian sausages but plenty to eat. I'm sure if they continue with the building work throughout the place will look very good. As I say it is adequate now. Great location. Free parking on the road outside. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend given what we paid.

We first visited Clifton Seafront Hotel a fortnight ago. On arrival we were not overly impressed . Nearly went home . Next morning after a great comfy nights sleep we changed our minds . It is not the Ritz . It’s a cheap and for us peaceful retreat . We just got home from our 2nd visit . Another comfy nights sleep . Breakfast not fantastic but we had a decent meal . The manager , ( maybe the owner for all I know) could not be more helpful . What a lovely chap . One comment on a review stated premier inn was cheaper . This is false . We will definitely return . This time we were on ground floor . But even if we are on 3rd floor it will not put us off returning. We also enjoyed a curry at restaurant a mere few feet away from hotel . Parking is on road and if you are fortunate close to hotel . If not you will find somewhere within 10 minutes walk at most . We did not bother taking photos of anything that would detract from a positive review. We take into account what you should expect for the price you pay . We regarded the hotel fantastic value . I visited Morecombe when the Seaside Vintage Festival was on, so a very busy time. On arrival at the hotel I was feeling quite unwell Gary the manager was very sympathetic and helpful. My room was clean light airy and spacious, with a sea view, although the hotel is currently undergoing renovation so there was scaffolding present. The breakfasts were good I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to revisit.
