Meininger Hotel München Olympiapark

The location was great- transportation is right outside the door. While there are no restaurants or food options nearby, you can always grab food before you land, basics (coffee, snacks and breakfast) are available. The place is busy and friendly. The rooms have been newly upgraded and are in great shape. The front desk staff is amazing!! Especially Dennis and Marco who helped me work out some issues! Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help and accommodate.

This is not a hotel, it's a hostel! It is ONLY suitable for students! If you are traveling with family, do not go there! On the fourth floor, where we stayed, the floors were never cleaned. Neither outside nor inside. There was dust and hair on the floor in our room and outside every type of dirt you can imagine.We asked for room cleaning, and when we came back, the room was not clean at all; only one towel was folded. There are no glasses in the room. The windows do not open; instead,there is very noisy, unregulatable air conditioning blowing cold air constantly. Our room only had two towels for five guests, and we had to ask the reception for the rest. The stay was very uncomfortable, and teenagers were running around on the floor the whole time in the evenings. It's not worth it; for a little more money, you could stay in a proper hotel and be comfortable! We will definitely never come back!

Kitchen is disgusting, asked for soap to wash the dishes for them and they didn’t have any. got stuck in the elevator twice. staff was very rude and acted like children. the room was boiling hot at night. so hot it was unbearable. Would not recommend to anyone, would be better off in a hostel

Booking this hostel was the WORST MISTAKE I’ve ever made.I Booked hostle for this upcoming Octoberfest season, going for a bachelor party. Due to big group of people attending I chose to stay in a mixed dorm with 8 people. Shortly after booking a unforeseen circumstance occurred which caused me to cancel my booking for the 2 beds I had already paid for. Spoke to a representative who was very helpful but unfortunately continuously informed me that bc that size room only came in a nonrefundable booking, and bc of this I would loose all the money already paid($1,000). She further informed me that it is company policy and they make absolutely no exceptions to the corporate rules for refunds. So even though I cancelled my reservation, the Meininger business will be taking my money(all in full, as if I actually stayed at the location for those days) and then still renting the two beds out which I had booked. Never booking this establishment again.

Lovely hotel, kind of hostel. VERY hot in hot weather. No air conditioning meant that our room on the 4th floor was uncomfortable to be in for any length of time. The breakfast was good, busy at times with young children running about the place. Clean and staff were lovely

We stayed a few days in Munich and found this hotel hostel perfect for what we needed. We were a family of 5 and the room held us all. Very basic room, but clean and what you need if you are there just to sleep. The breakfast was better than expected with quite an assortment of food that suited everyone. It is not as far out of the center as I thought also. Short tram trip that is easy to work out.
