Having worked in hospitality for over 16 years and having traveled extensively worldwide, my recent experience at this hotel was profoundly disappointing. The stay proved to be one of the worst I've encountered on multiple fronts. Upon check-in, the state of the room was notably subpar, marked by its uncleanliness. Our request for the cleaning staff was met with the explanation that the cleaning lady had already concluded her shift for the day. Even when I insisted on the room's poor condition, the staff member accompanying us indicated that she would personally undertake the cleaning. The hotel's unfinished state was evident throughout the premises, with visible stains in various areas. The quality of the establishment fell far short of the corresponding price point. The breakfast area also raised concerns as it failed to meet basic health and safety standards. Items such as yogurt, butter, cheese, eggs, and sausages were left exposed for extended periods without proper refrigeration or temperature control. The absence of distinct sections for hot and cold foods was striking; instead, all items were placed together without regard for appropriate temperature maintenance. Despite the presence of their own sun beds and beach area, our experience requesting towels proved frustrating. After being informed that towels would be fetched from the reception, we waited for over 20 minutes to no avail. Observing other guests leaving their sun beds due to towel shortages, we were taken aback when the Beach Boys collected used towels from other guests, folded them behind their desk, and then presented them to us as if they were newly acquired. Attempts to communicate with the management were met with limited success, as it appeared that the only available point of contact was a lady who might have been one of the owners. The absence of a hospitality background among the staff was evident in their approach to guests. Their lack of professionalism was highlighted by their tendency to shift blame onto guests rather than address concerns constructively. Regrettably, choosing this establishment was a mistake. Despite its recent opening and efforts to present itself as a five-star venue, the reality falls far short of even three-star standards. The level of service I encountered was the poorest I have experienced in Greece, and the overall management of the establishment left me deeply unimpressed.
