Herald Square Hotel

Great location! Close to the Empire State Building. Walking distance to Times Square, Central Park and other great places, but also easy access to very nice neighborhoods like Chelsea, Greenwich Village and more... Herald Square across the street from the hotel, which gives you access to many subway lines. The hotel gives you access to a nice little terrace a couple stories up, but there is also a nice rooftop bar in the same building, with a great view of the ESB. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean and convenient. Very good hotel, in the heart of the city at a great price! Would definitely book again!

WATCH OUT FOR YOUR REFUND! Just booked this Hotel, The Herald by LuxUrban, then I canceled and booked this one from same "LuxUrban" brand. First cancelation was never refunded until april, just after contact the card operator we had the reinburse done. Right after this (just one day), LuxUrban has cancelled our reservation in their other Hotel (The Bogart by LuxUrban). Now I have to wait again for refund! Not to mention we paid a federal tax in Brazil (IOF) for international payments and lost 5% twice! This company behavior is abusive and unacceptable. Shame!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Waiting for my refund of almost $1000 USD . Disgusted at the appalling customer service. Not pleased at the lack of communication, have sent multiple emails and tried calling only to be told “there is a backlog”.

Mixed experiences for us. The good: Big rooms Huge comfortable beds Great location and base Good value The poor: The rooms don’t look anything like the pictures plastered all over the internet. Instead; tired, old carpets, hidden dust and stains, the bath plug didn’t work, minute bath … if it had worked it was designed for 4’6” folk only. The two reception agents on every occasion were more interested in gossiping with the other. Every time! No true management on show to get them to work professionally.

Great location , rooms are large with all amenities, John at reception is so friendly and helping , Manager was also helped me for some issue , all perfect about this hotel , from JFk to this hotel , it’s very easy and economical to reach , sure for stay here again , no restaurant inthe hotel but there is a Bar on roof top.

The hotel is awful. The rooms are dirty and old, furnitures broken, walls stained. Pictures on website do not match with real rooms. When we arrived One blanket had a blood stain. They gave us only 2 towels for a family of 4 people. Staff Is rude. On top of that they charged our credit card twice for the room and we wasted a lot of time to get confirmation that they will reimburse us. The hotel shares the entrance with a terrace bar, there's no control on people accessing the hotel floors. Stay away from this Place!

The place is easy to find from the Penn Station. As soon as we enter the hotel lobby, we were pleasantly surprised to find it warm and welcoming. The room has a decent size with a good mattress. The bathroom has everything you need. One of its draw is how close it is to Macy”s, Time Square and Empire State Building.

This hotel is not worth your money. My recommendation would be to spend the extra money to stay at the Hilton next door or any other hotel in New York. The location of the hotel is fantastic but that is the only positive comment I have. My experience from the first day was extremely poor. The poor customer service, rude front desk agents, red stain on the bed sheets that the front desk told me I would have to sleep on until the laundry was delivered the next day, sharp metal pieces sticking out from under the bed, barely functional tv, outdated and run down decor in the room, loud club music playing until 2 am on the weekends was all extremely disappointing and will deter me from staying at any more Wyndham hotels in the future.

The location is very nice, close to everything. clean and spacious room and the staff was amazing, very friendly and receptive making everything to accommodate the guests needs and requests. I would recommend and stay another time for sure.
