Travelodge Newquay Seafront

Came here with my family for a night away as a pre Mother’s Day treat. Requested a cot prior to coming which was no problem what so ever. Also asked if possible to have a sea view room - as my eldest loved it last time, again no problem. Amazing. Room was spotless & spacious. It was nice and quiet during the night also which was an added bonus especially with a baby in tow! Checking in was easy & was greeted by a lovely receptionist ( sorry, I can’t remember your name! ) Room 109 - request it!

Check in was very efficient and welcoming. We appreciated the upgrade to a sea view. All staff friendly and helpful. Rooms well designed, clean and comfortable. Very good location.

When we arrived, the room had a bad smell and there was a hole in the bathtub, so we asked to be moved. The lady at reception was very kind and helpful. However, the rooms are extremely hot, and even at night it’s impossible to cool them down, as the window doesn’t open fully. There’s no air conditioning, just a small fan. No car park and hair dryer. Unfortunately, £130 for one night didn’t feel worth

This was our third stay at Travelodge Newquay, conveniently located opposite the railway station in the centre of the town and overlooking the wonderful Great Western beach. Our room was presented beautifully, as we had come to expect, and after the long train journey from London we were grateful for the welcome tray and enjoyed a couple of cups of PG tips. You may wonder why we return again and again to this Travelodge. Aside from the amazing location, (and the fantastic breakfasts), it possesses the one asset upon which all successful businesses depend - hardworking, dedicated, and customer focussed staff! From the warm greeting at reception on arrival to the very friendly and efficient front-of-house personnel (special thanks to Regina), to the amazing housekeeping staff, everybody we met went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed a comfortable and memorable stay, and to all those wonderful people we would like to say a big "Thank you!"

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here. We met the friendliest, kindest staff! Katherine at the front desk greeted us with a smile a loads of good information. She got us right in after I booked last minute due to an expected trip change. She was so kind and helpful. We later met Regina and Jay who work the cafe. We were tired and not feeling great, and they helped us out to get a delicious meal for the night and breakfast the last morning of our trip. They were also super kind and friendly. We so appreciated it. The hotel is right above Aldi supermarket, which was incredibly helpful. Of course, the gorgeous beaches are right in front of you! It’s a quick walk down for access to the beach and Newquay shops. At low tide, you have access to multiple beaches, all strung along one after another. They are absolutely gorgeous beaches, with turquoise waters, sand, and striking cliffs. This is a great spot for a relaxed stay, especially if you want to be close to the beach. 5 stars for exceptional staff. 😊

It is the second time we have visited and the staff are always welcoming, accommodating, friendly and happy to answer questions. The hotel room was clean with a stunning sea view ( which we had requested while booking) situated in a convenient location close to the city centre and a short walk from the beach for a reasonable price. The only slight disappointment was when we went for breakfast the juice machine was not working with no alternative in place. E.g cartons of juice. The breakfast offered a variety of cereals and pastries as well as an English breakfast with a self service. We chose not to have lunch or dinner there as there were many eateries close by that we wanted to dine in. However the menu at the Travelodge cafe did offer a varied selection. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.
