Absolutely scandal on price the alcohol on taps are garbage the place stinks the over priced food is a joke spuds where nasty and the staff can’t pour a pint properly

Lovely, friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. The place was nice and clean. Food was amazing - presented beautifully - everything was cooked to perfection. starters, main and dessert all hit the spot. I would definitely go again!

Well what a fantastic Sunday lunch. We thought we'd visit this quirky pub as recommended by a friend who advised us to try the food as there's a new owner and chef and we were not disappointed. The meat was so succulent and the gravy and cauliflower cheese was out of this world. We have tried many Sunday roasts and this has got to be the winner. With the cosy log fire and very friendly staff we didn't want to leave. Dogs are welcome with water and treats available. Well done Live & let live ,we will be visiting again very soon.

I usually avoid a pub Sunday roast. I have never been enamoured with the offerings of even the most gastro of pubs. And preserve me from having to endure a ‘carvery’. However, on recommendation from a friend who knows her onions, today four of us thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday roast here. Superb roast beef, delicious and cooked to perfection, served with joy on hot plates. I couldn’t fault it. This pub is doing very good things for the area and as a result is popular. Today I walked 4 miles each way to enjoy this lunch, a very welcome plate of delicious food.

This is my first review in quite some time what with Covid and Moving Home. Always nice to start with a positive one and it’s fair to say that live & Let Live has really hit the spot. We first visited for a last minute Sunday Lunch a few months back.. We always prefer a plated Roast than the chaos you get from a Carvery experience…. Everything from the Temperature and Tenderness of the Beef and the precise cooking of all the accompaniments was a treat, clearly the kitchen is in safe skilled hands. On our most recent visit…… a Saturday lunch… and choosing from their a la carte menu we opted for the Fish Soup to start as a sharer.. it was served with all the usual suspects…. Croutons,Rouille & Gruyère. It was stunning!! It had the depth of flavour that you’d hope for from a well made stock and kept me wanting more….. For mains I opted for the Lamb Shank, not a meat I would normally choose but we were recommended to try it and I felt it was worth a punt. My wife opted for the Ox Cheek with Mash and Asian Flavours. Difficult to know where to stop with the praise but the lamb shank was a touch of class, the meat was beyond tender but still held its shape and the balance of flavours in each mouthful left me a little speechless. Without a doubt one of the best lamb dishes I’ve had to date. My wife’s Ox cheek was pretty impressive also. Yet again, brilliant cookery and just the right levels on the Asian twist. What I like most about this place is they have a concise menu with half a dozen starters and a few more on the mains. They are not trying to over stretch themselves with an infinite menu which may compromise their quality. The place from front of house to back of house is clearly run by people who have a genuine passion for what the do and that shines!!! I look forward to many more visits in the future.
