When I checked in, I confirmed with the staff that I needed to pay the CAD$20 for car park and no other charge because I have paid the room and the tax as well as extra charge via Trip.com. However a different staff on duty handling the check out the next day insisted that I need to pay $22.54 resort fee and 4.8% DMF charge. While I explained that the trip.com price details listed that the resort fee along with a city tax paid, the other staff at the counter abandoned the customers she was serving jumped in to comment that would not be possible and she had never heard it before. Even though they took picture of my booking details with the resort fee and tax, they wanted me to accept that they would consult the manager later and refund if necessary. I demanded that they sorted out and refund me at check out but I gave up arguing about the DMF charge.
We were put in 2 rooms facing the road with loud noise from traffic but that could not be measured with the fans in the room. Rooms were big and the beds were comfortable but dark and some details were clearly missing.
While the room was clean and the price for room was inexpensive, they treated the customers like enemy ready to grab money from them in what they think justified. It is such a shame to do business in this manner guaranteeing the customers to be unhappy. Why not include whatever fee (instead of ridiculous extra charge of items like marketing fee) that the hotel management feels right in the room rate and save the unnecessary arguments and conflicts for the staff and customers. This is totally wrong.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.
We had booked a basic room, but that shouldn’t mean everything is barely maintained.
The shower door had huge gaps, causing water to leak all over the bathroom floor every time we used it.
The strings for the shades were barely functional, making it frustrating to adjust them.
The lighting in both the room and bathroom was terrible — very dim, and in the bathroom, a few lights weren’t working at all.
On top of that, we were shocked to be charged extra for “amenities” and parking. The listing only mentioned parking available — nowhere did it say it was paid parking at time of booking. Also amenities or resort fees were mentioned to use wifi and pool area. They were mandatory and only disclosed at time of checking in.
Overall, this stay was frustrating. With all the issues and surprise charges, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. Paying 27$ on the way out was not fun. Parking was 20$plus 7.99 for something else. Water is 2.99 for Dasani water. The breakfast was 21.00 with the ax for Pancakes… I would stay here Again, just because the rooms are big/ Very Clean and front desk ladies were very friendly and nice and accommodating. Thanks so much.

When I checked in, the staff initially tried to charge me an additional “resort fee.” Staff claimed that was not possible and said she had never heard of it before. Even after taking a photo of my booking details—which clearly listed the resort fee and taxes. After some discussion and explanation, they agreed that I only needed to pay CAD $20+tax for parking(which is ok and I know that), since my room, taxes, and extra charges had already been covered via Trip.com.
However, at check-out the next morning, a different staff member insisted I had to pay an additional 4.8% DMF charge. When I explained again that my Trip.com booking already included all taxes and fees, they asked me to accept the charge. I asked them to resolve and refund immediately, but ultimately gave up disputing the DMF(digital marketing fee) charge.
When I asked further about the DMF, the staff explained it was “a fee to see their hotel’s ads on Trip.com so customers can book.” This reasoning is absurd—it essentially means the hotel is charging customers to cover its own marketing costs.
The way the hotel handled charges left us feeling like we were being treated as adversaries rather than guests. Instead of building goodwill, their approach ensures customer dissatisfaction.
If the hotel management believes additional fees are necessary, they should include them upfront in the room rate. Charging hidden fees such as “marketing costs” only creates unnecessary conflict between guests and staff. This practice is unfair, misleading, and reflects poorly on how the hotel conducts business.

Nice property and location. Just a short ride to Clifton Hills and the Falls. Staff was accommodating and rectified issues with additional charges in a timely manner. Will certainly stay there again.

Rooms are very old, parking space too small, paper toilet holder broken and rusty. There is resort fee charges after check out that customer is not aware.

I do not understand why the hotel charged extra money over usd 30 for each room. We did not take any thing from the hotel and break anything. We left the hotel rooms clean.

We found the room to be clean along with the towels and bed were kept in tip top shape and clean

Atencion horrible y ademas me cobraron de nuevo los impuestos sindo que ya los habia pagado en Trip.com, reclame y de forma grosera medijeron que no me Darian ninguna solucion , y que escribiera a Trip.com, también cobran por el parqueadero y cobran porque el hotel tiene piscina aunque duratemi estancia las piscinad no funcionaron UN ROBO
