We were there over the weekend and made a booking for two days. We (my husband and I) were planning on chilling by the beach and doing nothing hectic. Hence, we chose this place as it looked quiet and peaceful. Which it is, if only they let it be like that. First day was peaceful thankfully. On the second day, there were guests playing loud telegu music all afternoon. I ignored that considering it's daytime. Come evening, they hosted a bunch of Russian guests who drank n sang and talked loudly all evening. Which we didn't mind thinking they will wrap up by 11 p.m. Atleast that is what the latest Goa guidelines say. As midnight came, the singing which was unpleasant to listen to in the first place only got louder. We were tossing and turning in our bed trying to sleep. And we couldn't because the walls of the huts are very thin and didn't protect us from the torture we were subjected to. My husband and I would whisper to each other so we don't end up disturbing the other guests, considering the huts are close together. Yet here we were, losing our peace and sleep because someone decided to celebrate their birthday in the most unpleasant fashion and what's appalling is that, the property owners were more than okay with it. There was no respecting the fact that we too needed our space and privacy and the party was right outside our hut. Finally, the circus ended at 1.30 a.m. I am not against people having fun but one has to set boundaries. We also paid for the place for two days. We didn't go around screaming and howling because we understood we don't own it. We were sharing the space with others and we have to respect that. About the food, we were served the same gravy for two separate dishes (prawn and chicken curry) on two different occasions. So we chose to eat at the shack by the beach that served good food. Staff service is good. Huts are clean. The property has a nice view overlooking the sea. The only thing lacking is peace and mutual respect.
