What an amazing experience, from the second you arrive, you are warmly welcomed by Yoandra and her husband Pedro. You are greeted with an authentic Cuban Mojito, from there, surprises at every corner. Beautifully appointed cabins that transport you to another world. Amazing beds, the showers make me want to remodel my bathrooms, beautiful natural landscaping, peacocks roaming throughout the property, truly exceptional. The place is self contained so you don't need to drive out once you arrive. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinners (amazing) are served in the great house. If it's too chilly they serve you indoors with a fireplace; yes, you read it correctly, cold enough to sit or better yet sip your drink by the fireplace in April mind you. Or you can sit and eat on their huge deck overlooking the city way below. Everything is beautifully presented and the hosts treat you like family. It's funny but after dinner one night, Pedro asked one of the guests that were there how everything was and how ask how he was feeling and the gentleman said, "like a king". Just about sums it up. This place is totally unique and unlike anything we have ever stayed at. We have already told all out friends, although on second thought, maybe we should have kept it all for ourselves. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Wow, where do I even start? Mont Carpe Diem was everything we hoped for and so much more. From the moment we arrived, Yohandra and Pedro made us feel like family. Their warm hospitality and genuine kindness made the entire experience feel incredibly special. The food? Out of this world. Seriously, Michelin star quality, and I'm not exaggerating. Every meal was a feast for the senses, showcasing fresh, local ingredients and creative flavors. Our cabin was elegant and comfortable, a perfect retreat. We loved waking up to the sounds of the rainforest and sipping our coffee on the private deck, surrounded by lush greenery. And the massive size swimming pool with a baja deck? Absolutely stunning! Whether we were getting in a workout or just lounging around and taking in the jungle sounds, it was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the beauty of the surroundings. It's no wonder, considering the owner is a former professional swimmer - the pool is truly remarkable. But the real magic of Mont Carpe Diem is in the little things. The ~25 peacocks strutting around the property like royalty, the gorgeous walking trails lined with fruiting trees, the peaceful symphony of birds and tree frogs... It was all so dreamy and restorative. We literally had the best sleep of our lives here. The tranquility and fresh air were just what we needed to recharge and reconnect. Leaving was bittersweet. We felt so peaceful, rejuvenated, and whole. Mont Carpe Diem isn't just a place to stay, it's an experience that touches your soul. We can't wait to go back and create more unforgettable memories. This place is heaven, and not only because of the privacy of the property and uniqueness of the cabins. The hosts - yoha and pedro and their family (and animals) have thought of every detail, and are constantly scanning to customize the experience. Pedro played nightly chess with our son, and took us all on a tour of the gardens and gifted our son an adventure on an ATV through the property (none of this was promised, just gifted in response to our kids). We truly felt as if we were family, were so sad to leave, and have not stopped talking about it since. We booked two cabins for our family and did not leave the property during our stay, tho there is a waterfall nearby that was tempting that we’ll aim for next time. We explored the grounds, played games, swam in the pool, and had some of the best dining and drinks with the most fantastic ambience and view we’ve ever seen. The experience is so intimate and charming, and one we hope to go back for. We will forever be grateful to the hosts opening their home (for meals) and their cabins to us and our family. Do not hesitate to book Mount Carpe Diem. It is truly a magical place and we will cherish these memories forever.

What an absolute magical experience, I would give 10 stars if I could! The place itself is grandiose with stunning views from the main house overlooking the rainforest, San Juan and the sea at the horizon. My cabin was my own peaceful haven, offering my own terrasse in the trees, listening to the peacocks and other tropical birds, showering with the view on the palm trees and resting in the most comfortable bed. Yohandra's hospitality and care made my time there even more memorable: from bringing breakfast to the room to helping with booking a massage and the constant attention to details... Hostess with the Mostess! The food by Chef Ema was delicious and super creative, from appetizer to dessert, and truly added to the magic of my stay. The pool was fantastic, great spot for both relaxing but also socializing with other guests enjoying great conversations and delicious fruit cocktails crafted by our lovely host Pedro. I needed the perfect retreat and I sure found it at Mont Carpe Diem. Was so hard to leave this little piece of heaven... I will be back!

We visited Mont Carpe Diem for two nights at the end of our Thanksgiving week trip to Puerto Rico. What a wonderful time and such lovely people. We had Thanksgiving dinner with Yohandra, Pedro, Emmanuel, De & Alex and were treated as if we were part of their family, with great food and conversations. The ground are so beautiful and is all the peacocks and other animals, and a shout out to a special black cat who loved her head scratches!! The cabin is so cute and romantic with everything you need, & such attention to detail. We loved sitting on our little balcony with our wine while watching the rain fall in the rain forest. The meals prepared by Ema was so delicious and fresh (they also were very accommodating to our dietary needs). We got to walk with Pedro one morning while he fed the animals and got to see some of the walking trails. The grounds & house are so beautiful and is so evident how much they love it and take such pride in what they have built there. Yohandra's Christmas decorations all around the house were also very beautiful. We will definitely try to make it back there to see our new friends!!! We miss you and Mont Carpe Diem :)

Our stay at Mont Carpe Diem was nothing short of magical. Yohandra and Pedro welcomed us with open arms, making us feel instantly at home. Each cabin is a haven of comfort, and the property is alive with beautiful gardens and peacocks. The culinary delights prepared by Chef Ema, especially the tagine and the gluten-free key lime pie, were exceptional. The house is decorated with fantastic artworks by Pedro, which he enthusiastically described to us. They’re a warm and passionate family of artists. We felt truly connected to nature, the animals and our warm hosts. Conversations with Yohandra and Pedro were enriching, and we learned so much from their journey, which inspired us immensely. This place is not just a stay, but a trip into a serene and beautiful world. We left Mont Carpe Diem with cherished memories and a longing to return with many of our friends and family. It was the perfect getaway from the city. For those seeking a tranquil retreat with a touch of luxury, this hidden gem is a perfect choice.
