The Lavender House by Reveal

The Lavender House was a fabulous place to stay set in amongst a tea plantation. It's a renovated colonial planters bungalow, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Very quiet, very secluded with amazing views and gardens! Mr. Saman and his team were fantastic and provided very attentive personal service catering to any requests. The food was very good, with a varied menu perfect for extended stays. The access road is a bit bumpy, but well worth it for the views and quiet and they can arrange a tuk tuk if required. Definitely stay.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Lavender House. We had the entire place to ourselves and were upgraded to the main suite. This was a beautiful room with views across the garden and valley. Saman and his team looked after our every request and served us with attention and thoughtfulness. Saman booked several day trips and came with us to ensure we got the best from the experience. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent and we loved the chef guiding us through the hot stone cooking dinner. The grounds are immaculate and pool was very clean. Overall this is a great location for the highland tea plantation area and can’t recommend the Lavender House highly enough.

The Lavendar House is a lovely old estate bungalow , the old Hellebode Estate’s Superintendent’s Bungalow I believe, that has had a sympathetic renovation and is open to the discerning public by the Reveal Organisation. It’s always a good start when you get upgraded to the master suite and that’s what happened,to us here. The rooms, the ambiance, the service, the food was all top class and you could walk for miles through the tea estate. We had a fantastic time thanks to Nayanajith and his staff and their excellent hospitality. Nayanajith offered us the Lavender Hoyse Tuk-Tuk to take us to the Hellbodde tea factory but we declined given we had had a few of these before. If you e never been before it’s a great experience. Lavendar House gets our seal of approval 🥹

Absolutely incredible service from start to finish. Our butler Harshana helped with all our requirements and chef Shantha produced exquisite, bespoke meals for us each evening! The place is brilliant! The staff are 11/10 with a special shout out to Ravi the butler who made sure that we had everything that we needed and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. He took care to make sure that me and my wife were looked after on our honeymoon. Creating a brilliant atmosphere and sharing tips and tricks to ensure that we were having a fantastic time. My other half is an insect enthusiast and he went out hunting for interning species for her. Genuinely Lavender House is so so lucky to have someone with such a heart looking after its guests. It truly made the place. The chef was also out of this world. He made sure that everything was fully customised and breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had! Staff were 11/10 and genuinely could no have been looked after better. The only niggle was hot water. Which was in no means a criticism of the staff in the slightest. We had no adequate supply of hot water for our stay. Since the room had a bath we could not fill it to wash. This was quite a let down when spending so much on stay. I recommend checking in to ensure that this is fixed if you’re staying. However, when fixed the place will be out of this world! Ps. Please also note there is no onsite bar at the time of writing. If you book an all inclusive package. There is no alcohol included. However Ravi went out with some cash to purchase for us.

Stunning location. Saman and the team did their utmost for a perfect stay. We even had a room upgrade upon arrival. Unique place with a great athmosphere. And food was simple amazing.
