I didn't realise I'd have to request a room clean on a daily basis, so even though the Team had been in to replace towels and empty the bin, the bed remained unmade and the cup was still dirty.
Bathroom was far too cold for use at night and in the morning as no central heating, just a heated towel rail.
Bathroom floor was covered in hair strands which definitely were not from my head - one of my pet hates - which could only mean the floor hadn't been swept or mopped recently.
No water in the room.
There was a spare restaurant chair and fan left outside my room door both nights. It's a good thing that my case wasn't larger as i may have struggled to pass these.
But as a partial recompense for the bedroom non- clean, Gary did give me 2 complimentary bottled waters the last night.
Staff are absolutely lovely, but you can see where there are cost cutting activities.
The online express checkout and pay appeared to take my card details but then the screen showed an error on the final page and although i could see the transaction on my card and Google pay app, i was informed the checkout had not completed as it was still in pending status. As i didnt want to pay twice, i asked for a callback if it didnt go through within the next day.
Not greeat first stay impressions unfortunately.
