MPT Sailani Island Resort, Sailani Island

Our stay at the Sailani Island Resort was a majestic, lavish and serene experience, all at the same time. The huts are so well constructed with a spacious room, washroom and a large balcony overhanging the river side. Sipping tea early morning hearing the natural sound of birds, infrequent ripples of water and rustle of fallen leaves, all made our experience so memorable. The staff members were very hospitable, esp Mr Raikwad the ***ager, was so courteous and always accessible. The food was delicious and well laid out. The boat ride to access the island and the jungle trail were the fun part. while the place is accessible with golf cart for the aged, it holds a spirit of adventure for the daring. I went for the morning scuba diving to see the remnants of an ancient temple - feeling the temple pyramidal top, touching the stone sculptures on the wall, the semi circular arches-submerged 60 feet below the dam waters followed by a swim in the open river. Bhure, my diving trainer was a fantastic cool guy. Overall, It was a holistic holiday !!

We had chosen the location for a yoga retreat , but we didn't know that it would be such a perfect location. The water was Clean ,blue/ green, which one rarely finds in water bodies in india . The boat rides to the location and around it were amazing and the island itself with such beautiful flora and birds was perfectly suited for us to be meditative and relaxed.

Great people ! Great location. Great service. A must visit if have time to relax and rejuvenate !! A difficult approach to the resort; kind of off-roading but in net result we were not disappointed. The front desk deserves appreciation for their hospitality and warmth. In fact even liked the food as it was light on tummy. All in all a very good experience!!

Nestled in an island in the backwaters of the Omkareshwar dam, this gem is not very well known. It's been beautifully planned and well ***aged govt resort. Full marks to MPT for the absolute professionalism in ***aging it. Even the boat ride to reach the resort is fun and well ***aged. Being based on a hillock, it requires climbing up and down on well laid out steps. Overlooking the dam, it offers spectacular views of the lake, sunrises and sunsets. There is virtually no noise except for the birds and other natural sources. The staff is courteous and very helpful.

Awesome place, We truly enjoyed with family & friends and everyone asking us about this places after seeing our pictures because this place is hidden place. no body can assume that this island resort in omkareshwar. we love the Nature, Boating, Food, games and stay.. I really appreciate Mr.Gaurav Sharma for all his hospitality and great services 🙏🙏

A slice of paradise! An extraordinarily beautiful location, the resort is nestled on an island that is only accessible by a 10 minute boat ride across a pristine lake Surrounded by trees & stunning lake views the hotel offers basic but comfortable rooms The food is decent but it does get monotonous & lacks variety The staff is outstanding & very helpful...They set up a bon -fire for us!!! The service is a wee bit slow Good for a couple of days

A very nice property built by Govt Of MP on an island off Narmada River adjacent to Omkareshwar ***dir. It can do wonders if the food quality and variety is improved. Very limited variety as far as meals is concerned, but well maintained property, staff is good and cooperative
