Hotel Villa Heine Wellness & Spa

The hotel itself is actually quite nice. The room was clean and had a lovely view of the garden. The spa area was cozy, and both the restaurant and breakfast room were pleasant – but that’s where the positives end. The internet was unusable (perhaps irrelevant if you’re not working, but the hotel really shouldn’t advertise free Wi-Fi when the entire place shares a 10 Mbps connection). The food in the restaurant was downright inedible – or at best, completely tasteless. On the first day, we were served an inedible tomato soup as a starter, and on the third day, we were served raw chicken. The breakfast buffet was unbelievably boring – it seemed like all the hot dishes were prepared at 7 AM and never replaced afterward. The hotel is located in a bleak town, surrounded by a mix of rundown buildings and industrial areas. There are no attractions nearby (though beautiful towns like Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, and Goslar are within driving distance). As for the so-called fitness room, it consisted of a 15–20 m² space with a trampoline, an exercise bike, and a hula hoop. We booked our stay through Risskov Bilferie, which turned out to be almost 1,000 DKK more expensive for three nights compared to, for example, *********** – a disappointing discovery in hindsight.

The stay was absolutely a disappointment !!! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED. I find it scandalous how this hotel can have 4-star superior! I feel scammed! The expectation of a 4-star superior Wellness-Spa Hotel is high, and here at most we touch the 2 stars !! The welcome on arrival was indecent, the only person at the reception welcomed us with rudeness, rudeness and surly and was also irritated that there were other people standing waiting for their turn at check-in. We had also phoned earlier, while we were on the street, only to ask about the opening hours of their internal restaurant and we were told that I could not give us any kind of information, as the staff in charge only arrives at 2.30 pm (an attendant answered) . The lady at the reception was not even able to spell my name and surname correctly at check in and I had to change it myself. Also, our reservation was missing and she initially told us that all the rooms were occupied. The password for the wifi was not communicated to us and we thought we would find it in the room, but we did not. Once we got to the room we tried to get in touch with the reception with the phone in the room and it was not possible. We had to go back down to ask for the wifi password which nevertheless never worked. We also noticed that the minibar was EMPTY, not even a bottle of water (we are always talking about a 4-star superior !!) and also in the bathroom the toilet roll had already started (less than half). The shower was dirty and the hairdryer was a wall-mounted one that takes a lifetime to dry. In addition, there are no slippers for access to the wellness area (which the other guests wore instead). Luckily we had brought some slippers for emergency purposes. A table lamp was not working and the floor was not clean. Once we reached the wellness area, we expected a swimming pool with a temperature of 32 degrees, as reported on the website and here on Booking, but the water was barely 25 degrees and we did not dive into the pool. The sauna and steam room area was neglected, so much so that the drinking water dispenser was empty and was not replaced. The breakfast was small and poor. We arrived more than an hour before the end of breakfast and everything was missing. No fruit juices, finished Nutella, finished croissants. From a 4-star superior hotel I expect fresh products in sufficient quantity for all guests.

Wir haben im Brauhaus Villa Heine einen Tisch für 10 Personen rechtzeitig reserviert und dafür auch eine Bestätigung bekommen. Wir wollten unsere Wanderung rund um Halberstadt mit einem tollen Abend beenden. Dort angekommen, sagte man uns sehr unfreundlich, dass sie nur Hotelgäste bedienen. Das Restaurant war leer. Und das Vorzeigen meiner Bestätigung hat nichts gebracht. Sehr unfreundlich hat man uns darauf hingewiesen, dass wir vom Eingang verschwinden sollen. Ein Gespräch mit dem Chef war nicht möglich, da er nicht da war. Hier lässt man junge Aushilfen sich mit verärgerten Gästen alleine. Ich kann nur von einem Besuch der Villa Heine abraten. Mehrfache Insolvenzen haben ihren Grund. Im Ort sagte man uns, dass die Besitzer sich eher um ihre Pferde in Hannover kümmern und großzügig Steuergelder , die sie nach jeder Insolvenz bekommen, verpassen. Schlimm....nicht nur unsere Situation war ärgerlich, sondern auch zu erfahren, dass unsere Steuergelder verschwendet werden und Unternehmer hier einen Wettbewerbsvorteil erzielen.
