I had visited Saj - By the lake 8 years back when the property was still being constructed so wanted to revisit. We were really looking forward to our stay, especially after booking their highest category room – the Executive Suite. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match our expectations. It was really horrible. Right from the start, the service was below par. The front desk staff seemed confused and dull – they didn’t have our booking or payment details during check-in or check-out, which caused unnecessary delays. I had to find the payment details from the sent folder despite mailing them and sending all details on the *********** platform and WhatsApp. Even before arriving, we struggled with poor email and phone support, which didn’t inspire much confidence. The room itself was large but felt neglected. It was dusty, smelled musty, and lacked basic upkeep. The location of the room was also disappointing – tucked away at one end of the property, far from the lake view we had hoped for. Normally the highest category room has the best view and service but here it was quite the contrary. The TV didn’t work, the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, and there was no mobile network except for Jio which was really frustrating. Room service, to their credit, was prompt and courteous, which we appreciated. The cafe and in-room dining staff was prompt and sweet. The best part of the stay was the location – the view of the lake and a stroll near the lake side was very relaxing and peaceful. Sadly, the food didn’t leave a good impression either. It was below average, and I ended up feeling unwell the next day, possibly due to something I had at breakfast. All in all, while the location is stunning, the lack of proper service, staff that just didn't care, room maintenance, and food quality made it a disappointing stay. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as the property does have potential.
