Palacio Can Marques

Palacio Can Marqués was one of the best hotel experiences we have had anywhere. The hotel itself is located in a beautiful well restored palace in the heart of Palma walking distance to many things, yet quite peaceful and private. Our suite was full of character, from a fully stocked library to unique decorations. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend a stay here.

Exceptional in every way. Rooms with gentle soft beds and every small comfort down to toothpaste! in the centre but the double glazing and a/c makes it so peaceful with open windows offering the bustle of the streets. A beautiful building too. But above some of the best service we've ever had anywhere in the world - reception staff, waiters, porters - all of them go out of their way to help you. Amazing.

Our third time at this beautiful hotel will certainly not be our last. If anything this was even better than our previous stays which were top class. The rooms are all magnificent and this time we were in Rose which was best yet for us. A fabulous space with great facilities and a terrace looking over the nearby plaza. The staff were all so kind, attentive and professional and added greatly to the enjoyment of our stay. It would be remiss not to name them and they are Antonia, Tholo, Elisa, Eddie, Susie and in charge, Isabel. They all made us feel very special and nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel has a roof terrace with great views of the roof tops and Cathedral - and a bar,- perfect for a summer’s afternoon. It could hardly be in a better location with great restaurants and unique stores nearby and also only minutes away from the marina and waterfront. We discovered this place a few years ago when it had just opened and it has now grown into itself and is simply as good as it gets in the city of Palma. Our stay at Palacio Can Marques was the absolute highlight of our trip to Mallorca! Do not hesitate to book this luxe, charming, elegant, and incredibly unique property. PROS: The suites were amazing - large, spotless, incredibly comfortable. It does feel like you're staying at a (albeit) wealthy friend's mansion - not some cookie cutter hotel that you've stayed in many time before. I stayed in the Eden suite and it was heaven. The suite was so beautifully appointed. I was so inspired by the design of the space. The suite even had its own private elevator. I never wanted to leave!!!! The location - also amazing in every way! I have a minor foot injury and I didn't have to worry at all about covering the sights of Palma as everything was 5 minutes walking away - or less. It's in the heart of Old Town Palma. There are incredible restaurants of every price level, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, all within steps of the beautiful front door. You are also steps to the gorgeous cathedral and palace. What was also great about the hotel's location is that several tours that I booked picked up just a few steps away. It was so easy to meet them without going far or getting lost trying to find them. Same with the paella cooking class that I booked - the location was around the corner about a 3 minute walk away. The common areas of the hotel are gorgeous all around. Go to the rooftop for a drink and see the cathedral all lit up and the port from your bar stool. The leafy courtyard every morning for breakfast was a dream. It was a nice little respite from the hustle of the city. The same goes with the lobby. My feet needed a break from walking and I was able to find a quiet spot for tea in the afternoon -- but once I was ready to hit the city again everything was just outside the door in the gorgeous alleys of Old Town Palma. I'm saving the best PRO for last - which was the service. To the breakfast staff every morning - THANK YOU. Your friendly service each morning was a great start to each vacation day. Thank you to the chefs who put out a delicious breakfast spread each morning with all sorts of egg dishes, pastries, breads, and fresh fruit juices. To housekeeping: the entire place was spotless. The cleanliness of the hotel really stands out from other properties that I have stayed at. To the female general manager, I believe: I'm sorry I did not get your name, but you were always welcoming and gracious and made me and my husband feel warm and welcomed each time we saw you. We stayed at a different property on the island for the first part of our trip and there was a stark contrast from the general manager there to the one here. It's nice to feel welcomed and not a nuisance when you have to ask a basic question. A very special shoutout to Edi, Abde and Antonia! I saw you guys multiple times during my stay and your hospitality really stands out. Edi - thank you for helping my husband with a cup of tea that he needed when he wasn't feeling

This, in my opinion, is the best hotel in Palma. Previously stayed in Antiqua Palma, and it is also a lovely building with good service. However, this one is in an incredible building with lots of history. Most importantly, the beds are extremely comfortable, which is very important for me. The staff are very personal and friendly. Antonia and Elisa on reception and the concierge Abdel is very helpful and "amable." Location is excellent as it is surrounded by great restaurants and tapa bars in the heart of La Llotja. Every room is different, and you have to embrace it. Not cheap. But on this occasion I can say it is worth it. Great experience. Thanks to all the staff.

More than excellent.. the building , the staff .. rooms and restaurant are above any standard I have ever experienced. We have stayed in many great hotels all over the world .. this one took my surprise. From the first minute we entered , we were more than impressed ! We will be back asap .. it doesn’t get any better ! Thank you for a wonderful holiday .

If you're looking for an exquisite non commercial hotel experience, this is the place! A boutique hotel originally an old Palace with numbered rooms. The staff are very attentive and sincere. I had the pleasure to be assisted by Elisa and Abdullah who are few of the nicest people I got to know. By all standards, room, food, facilities, location, book with no hesitation.

Beautiful historic hotel in old Palma. Exceptionally friendly staff. You feel like you are staying in a palace as a guest. The staff are friendly (front desk, restaurant staff and cleaners) and act in a manner you typically only see in Irish hotels in terms of friendliness. As an historic hotel, there is no pool and the spa/gym area is uninspiring but for a city break, you will get lots of walking in so give the gym a skip!

Absolutely stunning property and the most amazing, friendly, prefixes signal and attentive staff. Nothing was too much for them and they made everyone feel extra special. The ladies on reception Antonia and Elisa are fabulous!! I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
