Oasis Hotel

I don't know about the rest of the place, but room 8 (the one in the attic) is probably the worst hotel room I have stayed at anywhere in the world--and I'm not exaggerating. It has no windows to the outside world--just one looking into the lobby shaft from the kitchenette. And it is TIRED--the TV didn't work, there was no hot water, the closet was damaged. But the WORST part: the headboard seems to be in the DJ booth of the rooftop bar. Knowing that the room was "a little loud", the lady at the front desk gave me earplugs...that should have been my first clue. In the middle of that sleepless night, I booked a new hotel on the other side of town for $40/night more. For that, I stayed on the 20th floor of a 4 star hotel--quiet, luxurious, comfortable. I had a Spanish-speaking friend call to explain that I had left and needed a refund (they charge the full amount of your stay when you check in). That refund never came, so I had to get my credit card involved when I got home. ' really a nightmare experience--a terrible way to start my vacation.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room however was awful. It was big, sitting room of sorts and bedroom plus bathroom. Half of the bedroom ceiling was only about 5ft 6ins high.No windows just glass blocks so couldn't see out or open. No balcony, felt like a cell. The hotel has a roof terrace with nightclub, the music was thumping until around 2am! We hated it and left after 1 night although we had booked for 3. The guy on reception however we understand and refunded us the money for the 2 nights night we didn't stay.

We found this to be great value. Situated in the old city area of Cisco Viejo, it is an ideal location for rambling. Our room was reasonably priced but was huge, and spread over two stories with a nice balcony at the front. Room was very clean with armchairs, kitchen and a writing desk. Maybe all rooms aren’t as big as this. There was a good safe and Aircon. The only downside was Wi-Fi which was quite temperamental. On the roof is Sama Bar which is beautiful. It has views over the old city on one side and the new city on the other. The menu is online but I thought the prices for food and drink were very reasonable for such a tasteful cocktail bar. This hotel was great value for the price.

Centrally located in the heart of Casco Viejo. Staff is attentive, friendly, and keep the rooms very clean. Great rooftop bar too!

The hotel is fantastic. BUT big BUT the rooftop loud music kills any good review. It would be fantastic for it to be a nice soft music bar to enjoy and relax. Instrad, it wants to be like a disco with super loud music reverberating through the building, drunk people leaving the premises screaming and laughing out loud at 2am

We had an amazing experience! Great location, all the staff, Kiara, Alex, Yaniris, Claudia & Jamilet, were very polite, friendly & accommodating! We highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel - excellent team from the lobby to the bar and at the unique roof top!!! Loved it love it again... Issa, the owner is such a nuce person with a huge sense of hospitality. The view feom the room offers the sea the towers of the modern part of the city a authentic flavor of the traditional Casco Viejo. The panoramic view from the roof top if breathless. Thanks for this I ll come back to Panama.

Big room, a bit tired but fun 'oasis' décor with comfortable beds. Housekeeping was very sweet. Love Casco Viejo area BUT this location is at the entrance to this area on a busy street, with loud music and honking cars until 4am, next to a night club. Lobby was hot and could not find the staff when we arrived. Wish we had stayed around the corner or closer to the heart of this area.

Hotel staff is GREAT. Excellent room. Great location.
