The Danish owners purchased this property in early 2020 and have since repainted and refurnished the entire spacious villa with hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") at the core of each renovation decision and purchase. Hygge is a term that roughly translates to "cosiness" but to Danes, the happiest people in the world, hygge illuminates the Danish soul. In essence, hygge means creating a warm atmosphere for enjoying the good things in life with good people. Villa Hygge is an easy 30 minutes north of Gardiner, Montana, the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Further south are the fabulous Yellowstone Hot Springs in Corwin Springs (35 mins). This home is accessed by a paved road for the first couple miles, then a gravel road for the last 3 miles. It takes approx 12-15 minutes to get from the highway to the house.
