Less than 200 feet from the front door are hiking trails leading to the neighborhood ponds. Enjoy fishing in the catch-and-release pond in the summer and ice skating in the winter (ice skating shed even has skates and hockey gear for you!) The neighborhood features 200 acres of open space for hiking, biking, and volleyball.There is ample parking in front of the home (space for 3 cars). The home is located on a private easement shared with a few other neighbors. Because of this, there is almost no traffic on that road. We do ask that you be courteous of our neighbors and stick to the designated parking spaces.WINTER:To get to Sunset Haven, you’ll be on paved roads the entire time with the exception of the 100 foot easement (rare for mountain properties!) However we strongly suggest a 4WD or AWD vehicle between Nov-April (Colorado weather can be unpredictable...so you'll just want to check the weather reports and act accordingly).CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:- Check-in is after 4:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am.- NO CHORES HERE! This is a neighborhood, and the house is located on the upper side of the mountain, please be respectful of noise levels and sensitive to how noise travels downhill. Be courteous to quiet hours which are between 10pm till 7am. No parties.• Pets: Two well-behaved dogs are welcomed. There is no fenced yard, dogs must be leashed when outside and if left in the home alone, must be kenneled. We will provide dog bowls, dog beds and a medium-sized cage that will be in the garage.• We can typically accommodate requests for EARLY CHECK INS/ LATE CHECK OUTS, but we can only confirm such requests 24 hours before the date requested. The reason is we potentially have other guests coming in or leaving the same day, and cleaners typically need around 5 hours. $200 penalty fee for unauthorized late checkout.• Fires/smoking: Open Fires are 100% NOT allowed. Guests are allowed to use the gas firepit provided. There is absolutely no smoking, fireworks or candles allowed inside or outside the house.• Please be aware that we are not liable for any personal items left behind from your stay.
